Description:
A sport of Hosta 'Francee' with the same clumping form and sporty, dark green leaves but with wider, irregular margins. Tall, lavender flower spikes bloom in mid-summer about the bold foliage. The 18 in. tall x 24 in. wide plant is long-lived, reliable and easy to grow. For best foliage color, grow in moist, well drained, organically rich soil in partial to full shade; preferably with morning sun. The dramatic foliage fits into the landscape well and can be used as a specimen by itself, to provide contrast within a group of other hosta, as a foundation plant, in the bed, or as an edging, or as an understory plant beneath large trees.
