Compact, mounding, 3 ft. tall and wide, deciduous shrub with glossy, dark green leaves, turning a striking yellow color in autumn. Fluffy, bottle brush like, 3 to 6 in. spikes of white flowers appear in mid to late summer and blooms last for 4 to 6 weeks. Butterflies and bees are attracted to the extremely fragrant flower spikes. Blooms are followed by dark brown seed capsules which persist into winter. Blooms on current season's growth and has the ability to produce a good crop of flowers in shaded areas. Excellent, trouble free shrub to use in mass, as a shrub border, or anywhere its attractive foliage, fragrant summer blooms, good fall color, and tidy winter appearance can be enjoyed.
