This Generac transfer switch kit provides a safe way to feed generator power to essential appliances or circuits in a home or business during a power outage. This kit includes a 30 amp transfer switch, a 30 amp Aluminum power inlet box for easy cord connection, and 10 foot power cord with L14-30 ends that provides the connecting link from the generator to the wired circuits. Required by the National Electrical Code, a transfer switch prevents generator power from backfeeding onto utility lines. The transfer switch works with 30 Amp generators up to 8000 running watts, accommodates 10 to 16 circuits in a home or business and can be flush or surface mounted indoors. The transfer switch comes with standard circuit breakers, so it can be easily expanded or reconfigured to suit your needs. Connect essentials like refrigerator/freezer, lights, furnace, kitchen circuits, television, well pump, water heater, home office, garage door opener, and security system. Wattmeters are included to help balance loads to prolong generator life. Switch includes three 15 Amp 1-pole breakers, three 20 Amp 1-pole breakers, one 2-pole 20 Amp breaker and one 2-pole 30-amp breaker. This transfer switch accepts Arc Fault and GFCI breakers to meet the latest National Electrical Code requirement if your installation will be inspected.
