The device can be configured to identify spots on the screen that represent known values of temperature. There is a max of 9 configurable spots. The spots dynamically display the temperature on screen, as the view changes; which can be helpful during viewing. In addition, spots can be set to trigger an alarm, based on temperature exceeding high and low limit set-points; which can be helpful during the viewing of a large area. Spots can also be used to display the relative temperature differences between spots; or can be set as references with relative differences displayed on the screen. Lastly, spots can be used during image analysis, manually or via the included software. So, spots can be beneficial to quantitatively analyze the view, or image/s.
