Does my local Home Depot still offer Kids Workshops?

Yes, the Champaign store does offer in-person Kids Workshops. These free in-store events take place every first Saturday of the month between 9am–noon. Registration for workshops is now available online. Each month features a unique and exciting new kit pack to keep little doers engaged. Kits include all necessary craft materials, kit instructions, certificate of achievement, stickers, an apron pin, and a Discovery Education extension activity. Any required tools, such as paint, are provided at the workshop. Customers who prefer not to participate in the in-person event can pick up their free kit in-store or order online at our Kids Projects Activities page to have it shipped to their home. Call us or visit our customer service counter to check the availability of the kits.

Experience

First cashier Tina was great and friendly. Had to go to her because the other two were to busy talking. After loading item an employee said if it is damaged bring it back we have more. Well it had been forked and you could tell by box. They laid that side down when loading. Good thing is they had in stock. Bad thing only person that made me feel welcome was Tina. I had to break up 5 people talking to get help getting a grill down.

Employee Recognition

Too often we run through life trying to thinking about starting this and finishing that.. enjoy the journey of what life offers and the challenges that we face. Online ordering & in store pick up

Ordering online was easy. It didn’t take long for them to let me know that the products were ready for pick up or that one of my items was not in stock. I also requested an increase online and was instantly approved. Even though an item of mines was out of stock they had similar options available and I really appreciated that.

Great price and item was in stock

We searched every store in Champaign for an electric dryer, this was the best price and it was on stock. Our sales person, Marilyn was great! Her job was made more difficult by the bad attitude of every other employee in the area. It was horrifying. Kudos to Marilyn but honestly Home Depot… it’s time to get rid of some dead weight in the assistance department.
