Are Kids Workshops offered at the Elko Home Depot?

Yes, the Elko store does offer in-person Kids Workshops. These in-store events are free and take place every first Saturday of the month between 9am-noon. You may secure your Kids Workshop kit by registering online for the event. Keep little doers engaged with a new kit pack for each event. Included in the kits are all necessary craft materials, as well as instructions, stickers, an apron pin, a certificate of achievement, and a Discovery Education extension activity. Paint and all other required tools are provided at the event. Customers who prefer not to participate in the in-person event can pick up their free kit in-store or order online at our Kids Projects Activities page to have it shipped to their home. Visit our customer service counter or call us to check the availability of the kits.

How do I check my Home Depot gift card balance?

Home Depot gift cards are a popular choice for the holidays, birthdays, and housewarming parties. DIYers know these gift cards are fun to receive and to give. If you receive a gift card, you can check your gift card balance online or visit the Elko Home Depot and ask a cashier to check the balance for you. Does The Home Depot Elko offer Curbside Pickup?

Yes, you can pick up Curbside Orders from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. using The Home Depot App.

Select "Curbside with The Home Depot App" at checkout when you shop eligible Store Pickup items. We will let you know via text message or email when your order is ready at the store. Bring your valid, government-issued photo ID with you.

To pick up your Curbside Order:
1. Download The Home Depot App.
2. Before you get to the store, use the link in your "Ready for Pickup" text message or email to tell us in the app that you're on the way.
3. After you get to the store, park in a designated Curbside Pickup space, which is usually located near the front of the store.
4. Check in through the app to tell us you're here.
5. Wait for us to bring out your order and load it into your vehicle.

Crappy service with tool box and tool purchase

I bought a $1398.00 tool box and some tools from the Elko store. when I first ask the younger kid at the pro desk was like really bothered and put out! that I asked him to get out from the other tool boxes so I could look at it. Finally after 15 mins him and another co worker got it out. I looked at and thought about for about 20 mins. This is a lot of money to spend. So I came back to the pro desk. I asked the kid at the pro desk if they had any of those in stock in boxes because it was snowing and I had to drive over 230 miles to get home in the snow. Didn’t want one that was unboxed. He was really put out that I asked that, he said there’s that one. So I asked could you look please. He said oh my computer isn’t working. He was too busy talking to his female co worker. The kid that helped him move the tool box out so I could look at it helped me, I asked him if they had any in stock still in the box and I told him way. He said let me look. He found 3 in the back. I said ok I’ll take it. But I will have to check out at the pro desk. Back to lazy kid! All of a sudden his computer was working now! I asked if they could wrap it in plastic so it didn’t get wet! Oh my gosh!! He was put out again and pawned it off on the other kid and then I asked if they could haul it out with the forklift and put it on my trailer. After checking out with it wrapped in plastic sitting there, it took 50 mins for it to get out to my trailer. Mr personality wasn’t to happy to help. The other kid was awesome. I will use Home Depot but I will be dealing with a manager if this happens again!

Disgusted

I purchased a Milwaukee Framing Nailer just to get home all excited and it was a return with half the packaging missing and writing and sharpie scribble all over it. Disgusted. If I wanted a used too I would have went to a garage sale.

Not one single employee on the floor to help anyone— on a Saturday!

Went to 7 different depts looking for items and did not run into one single Home Depot employee with an orange vest that could direct me to the items location or answer my question. Very poorly under-staffed for a Saturday morning!

Improved

This store has not been a good place to visit. However it has improved 100% in the last year. Even the employees are happier and shared that they loved working there.

Terrible Paint Desk

Like our Elko Home Depot, shop there all the time. Unfortunately, they just don't know what they are doing at the paint desk. Has been a long time since they had anyone there with a clue. Because they do not know how to help they do not want to help. They told me to go to ACE so I guess I will.

Great customer service

For the most part, all of the store representative in the Elko Nevada store have good customer service skill and are willing to do their best to provide customer satisfaction and/or find a representative better suited to answering questions. The only draw back with the Elko store is that it needs to be expanded like your larger store locations allowing customers to have more variety.
