Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting CFLs, lead acid batteries, rechargeable batteries, and plastic plant pots for recycling.
This store recycles all shrink wrap, contributing to the 780 million pounds that The Home Depot has sold to Trex in the past. This is used to manufacture composite decking, bringing us one step closer to a circular economy.
LED lights in your local store cut down energy consumption by 98 million kilowatt hours. Many stores also participate in renewable energy initiatives like wind and solar.
The Home Depot's core values are based on doing the right thing for our customers and associates, and this commitment extends beyond our stores to the environment, as well as our communities. Do bath vanities ever go on sale?
During our vanity sale, which is part of The Home Depot Bath Sale running from January 2nd through February 19th, you can choose a vanity without a top or a vanity with a sink and countertop. Remember to upgrade your shower heads and faucets to match, too. You can even have our pros do the countertop installation or vanity installation for you if you'd prefer. Don't miss the sale that can help you improve your bathroom for years to come.
Should I get an inverter generator or a portable generator?
Having a generator means you're prepared for any circumstances life throws at you. Whether you're dealing with blizzards, thunderstorms, hurricanes, tornados, or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy electricity when the elements knock it out. When considering different generators for sale, don't forget that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. Always run your generators outside, away from doors and windows, for safety purposes.
Should I do siding repairs before it gets cold?
Make sure your home is ready for winter weather by replacing any broken or faulty parts of your hardscaping and home. If water freezes in the crevices, you could be in for major repairs later. On the outside of your home, examine metal roof panels or roof shingles for rust or damage that could let water leak into your home. Gutters should be cleaned to prevent ice dams. Check cinder block and bricks for cracks, and verify indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces and water damage. Lastly, chimney caps and vinyl siding should be changed if damaged.
What benefits do doorbell cameras have?
Enjoy safety, privacy, and peace of mind with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. No more peeking through a peephole or window when you can see visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, which is useful for delivery people or to scare off potential porch pirates. Most cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you easy accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference as needed and worry less with more control.
