Laughable how ridiculously unhelpful customer service is. I needed a jump starter for my car and went in two weeks ago. I brought one to the counter and asked about the condition of the box since it looked tattered and like it had been aggressively opened. They reassured me a customer only peeked inside and it was fine. I took it home and it wouldn’t charge for 3 days. I brought it back (THANKFULLY my car didn’t die in the meantime) and explained what had happened. They offered to give me a slight discount on a similar item since mine was out of stock, but that was it. No one was willing to be sympathetic to the fact that THEY sold me a defective product, and everyone involved is lucky I didn’t find myself stranded on the side of the road with a dead battery I bought from them. After the return the manager and another worker were whispering something and made a mocking and rude comment about someone I would assume was a customer. (Along the lines of “Well see ya then!”) Timing was terrible and I’m not sure if it was about me or not, but not okay regardless. Not coming back. Highly disappointed.

Worst customer service experience at return counter
Because the experience was horrible, I felt this review was necessary. I enjoy your store very much over the other hardware stores however I do not know if I will return. Her name is Ashley at return counter. Very rude and very unhelpful. So many ways she could have said things and still get your policies across in a professional manner. She does not belong at a costumer service counter. You are welcome to contact me if you would like more details of encounter

Sincere Staff for helping Disabled in Wheelchair
Dumbfounded for why a Honolulu locksmith only gave me ONE deadbolt key last year when replacing my interior apartment entrance lock, I shopped at HD and saw on the same manufacturer lock package that these deadbolt locks come with TWO keys.

Challenging to get sale promotions honored
I received an email regarding a power tool that is on sale. During assistance from rep getting the tool and assistance during check out, they mentioned that I’d have to go back home and order the item online and return back to the store for pick up in order to get the sale price.

As a large company, I feel you should honor a point system for these types of outcomes. Point that are honored by awarding gifts such as, gift cards, free meals, etc
In other companies, as a fellow employee they offer point systems that provide a different type of honest feedback… When there’s no way to show they’re appreciated on your sales floor… Please find new opportunities for these type of exception.
