Does my local Home Depot still offer Kids Workshops?

Yes, the New Hartford store offers in-person Kids Workshops. These free in-store events take place every first Saturday of the month between 9am-noon. Registration for kids workshops is now available online and secures your spot at the event. We have a new kit pack every month to keep your little doer engaged. Kits include all necessary craft materials, kit instructions, certificate of achievement, stickers, an apron pin, and a Discovery Education extension activity. Paint and all other required tools are provided at the event. Kits may be ordered online at our Kids Projects Activities page or picked up in-store if you prefer to participate in the workshop from home. Call us or visit our customer service counter to check the availability of the kits.

How do I check my Home Depot gift card balance?

Hit or Miss!

Sometimes it is so hit or miss. I really enjoyed watching the forklift operator out back by the rear lumber door ram the pallets of compound over and over. I'd have fired that clown long ago-- the "miss". But on the "hit" side, I got some good ideas from the roofing / building materials department lead.

Great customer service

Lorna N has been my advocate dealing with Bali regarding custom shades that needed repair and replacement. Bali was very difficult to deal with but Lorna persevered with numerous phone calls and e mails in my behalf.She saved me alot if money and made sure Bali honored their warranty.

Excellent garden center!

Terrific assortment of healthy plants at far less than the cost of other places I checked first. Plus, Eric the cashier I dealt with was genuinely engaged, helpful and an asset to the company. A delightfully pleasant experience!

Pregnant Woman Friendly!

I needed to buy supplies today for my husband's business and wasn't sure if I could receive help doing so since mulch is in a self serve section of the store. I had spoken with customer service, informed them I was pregnant and needed help transporting it to my car, and they directed me to Jason who went above and beyond for me. Jason packed my car with 30 bags of mulch, in a timely manner, and made sure my car was safe from any bag spills. He is a kind person who was able to make my shopping experience today possible for my family. I wouldn't have been able to get this errand done without Jason, or the lovely customer service team who was able to make this happen. I was worried about lifting mulch since I'm pregnant and I was instructed by my doctor to not lift anything heavy. Thank you Hole Depot for helping me feel safe and comfortable shopping here while I grow a family.

Getting new appliances for our home rebuild after a fire

Appliances can be bought anywhere but the service and attention and knowledge of our appliance specialist really did it for me! Other employees were also pleasant and helpful. No photos yet since our house is being rebuilt, but we love the choices we made, with Dawn McGowan's help- from our initial visit forward.
