Spend your money at a lumber yard
Support local business and buy your lumber at a local yard. I purchased 200 redwood fence pickets at $4.98 a piece. I requested for a pallet of 400 to be brought to the loading zone so I could pick through the good ones. Adrien, the floor manager told me he won't be dong that. I told him I want the nice looking ones and not the picked over ugly ones. I even told him I would buy another 50-100 pickets if I could just pick through a new pallet. He told me no and when I told him I wanted a refund he decided to walk away from me mid sentence.

Knowledgeable stagf
I had an associate (Jose) help me with all my questions. They also took me to the items I needed and walked me through what problem I could possibly encounter with my project. They also went through alternative ways to do the project with a similar if not better outcome. The cashier Terry was amazing and patient as well.

Home Depot is like "home" to me.
I shop at Home Depot several times a month for materials and items needed for home projects and for my husband's handyman business needs. I love the Oroville store so much. They always have everything I need and the employees are very knowledgeable and are willing to go out of their way to find things or give advice on products when asked. The garden department is the best in town!

Over all experience
Auburn and Placerville Stores tell you to bring a picture and they HELP you. In Oroville, you are told we aren't experts. They don't want pictures. And then you have no confidence in the employee knowing what they are talking about. And actually, sometimes, In Oroville HD, they prove they don't know what they are talking about. Kind of frustrating at times.
