Types of Trees
There are many varieties of trees, but the two main types of trees are deciduous and coniferous, or cone bearing. Many evergreen trees are coniferous and keep their green leaves year-round. However, the words “coniferous” and “evergreen” are not synonymous. There are a few conifers that grow and drop their leaves every year. Deciduous trees lose their leaves at maturity, usually every fall. Most fruit trees are deciduous, losing their leaves in the fall, but producing beautiful blossoms in the spring and juicy, delicious fruit in the summer.

Nothing surpasses the fresh-off-the-tree taste of a crispy, juicy apple. Different apple trees thrive in different climates. While honey crisp apples grow well in colder climates, Fuji and Granny Smith apples grow best in warm, humid climates.
