Designing your dream deck? Let The Home Depot help. If you’re anything like us, you probably spend a lot of time on your deck. A deck provides a great way to seamlessly blend your indoor and outdoor spaces. Whether you’re entertaining friends and family or quietly connecting with nature, a deck can be the perfect place to create a lifetime of great memories. The Home Depot is committed to giving you top quality decking products, installation and repair services. We have hundreds of options for your pre-built railing, materials and more. We’ll even help you decide which decking boards fit the look and feel of your home.

Choose from a wood deck design or composite decking, depending on your needs and budget. Wood decking is durable, aesthetically pleasing and known for its long life. Wood decks are often less expensive to install than their composite counterparts, but do require more care in the long run. Your wood deck maintenance regimen may include repairing loose boards and applying paint, stain or protective sealant. Composite decking is made up of a wood and plastic blend that won’t warp, stain, split or splinter. Composite material also emulates the look of traditional lumber or hardwood and comes in many color choices. Although it may be more expensive to install, it requires very little upkeep compared to wood. Simply wash your composite decking with mild soap and water.

Selling your house? A deck adds aesthetic appeal, can increase the value of your home and attract potential buyers. Check out our Decking Project Planner for tips on how to remodel your existing deck, or build a new one, and make your home stand out above the rest.  Less
