Window screens are important tools to keep bugs and pests out of the home
Minor holes and tears in window screening are easily fixed with glue and pre-manufactured patches. A fiberglass screen can be fixed by sewing a patch over the hole. You usually won’t have to remove the screen window unit to make the repair.
WHAT YOU NEED FOR THIS PROJECT
Place the screen patch over the hole in the plastic or fiberglass screen so that the hole is completely covered with enough left on each side to fold over the ends of the patch.
• The edges of the patch can be secured with waterproof glue used sparingly.
• Wipe away any drips before the glue hardens.
