How do I seal around a door?

If you have cold air seeping in under the door, check your door sweep, the rubber piece on the door bottom, for cracks and missing pieces. Replace it if it's torn. When a house settles unevenly, pieces that once fit snugly can go off-kilter. Gaps can form around the sides of doors or the thresholds may loosen with time. Fill the space with weather stripping or foam tape, and caulk any cracks in the wooden door frame. If you're still feeling drafts around the door, place an insulated fabric door snake along the ground.

What are good wintertime DIY projects?

In colder climates, it's challenging to work out in the elements. However, it may be an excellent time to clean up your home and indoor workspaces instead. A weekend cleaning and organizing the basement or garage will pay off when the weather warms. If your tools and gardening supplies are all set, tackle cleaning the rest of the house. Get out the cleaning supplies and cleaning tools, then give everything a good scrub.

How do I prepare for snow and freezing temps?

When you live in a region where snow falls, it's a good idea to organize or upgrade your snow removal equipment before a big storm hits. Have a gas can ready to top off your gas snowblower if it's not already filled for the season, or check the battery on your electric snowblower. Remember to get out the sleds for the kids, and prep salt or ice melt and a salt spreader. Make sure your outdoor faucets are covered and drained, too, with all hoses disconnected. This basic prep keeps you ready for whatever winter weather brings.

Does the Augusta Home Depot still offer Kids Workshops?

Yes, the Augusta store does offer in-person Kids Workshops. These free in-store events take place every first Saturday of the month between 9am–noon. Registration for workshops is now available online. Keep little doers engaged with a new kit pack for each event. Included in the kits are all necessary craft materials, as well as instructions, stickers, an apron pin, a certificate of achievement, and a Discovery Education extension activity. Any required tools, such as paint, are provided at the workshop. Kits may be ordered online at our Kids Projects Activities page or picked up in-store if you prefer to participate in the workshop from home. Call us or visit our customer service counter to check availability of the kits.

Home Depot gift cards are a popular choice for the holidays, housewarming parties, and birthdays. DIYers know they're fun to receive and to give. If you're a recipient, you can visit your local Home Depot store and ask a cashier to check the balance for you or check your gift card balance online. Kalline great costumer service given

The best service I’ve gotten in awhile. Kalline a sales rep showed a high level of professionalism and honesty during my visit. I bought a few heavy items that needed to be put on my trailer. She called 3 times to get me help with no success, so she came out and helped me. I tried to tip her, but she did not accept it stating it was against company policy. This world is missing honest people that show a level of integrity, but she showed that there are still good people out here.

The attitude and verbal dismissive tone of the cashier was totally uncalled for, I realize that employees are hard to find but this store will not need help when treating people in this manner

Pleasant, helpful staff

Customer service clerk was friendly and did not question my return. She seemed apologetic, even though it was not necessary, at all. She wanted to make sure I was satisfied, even as to the refund method (cash vs. gift card).

Shopping at Home Depot

I came into Home Depot with my wife and 4 children looking to buy butcher block countertops. Of course, kids being kids, they began to argue and act up and otherwise show that they were bored with being in the store. The staff was super friendly, and not only helped with picking/loading/discounting the butcher block slabs but were also understanding of the hassles of bringing kids shopping and went as far as to engage and joke with my children, making them laugh, etc. Very pleased with my experience.
