        Great Store for Senior Citizens
Since being a senior citizen who doesn't like to drive the distance any longer, this store is convenient for me, especially with the variety of Ryobi products I have purchased numerous times. Recently purchased a Ryobi lawnmower this week from this store. LOVE this homedepot.

          Worst experience ever!
Raymond should not be an Home Depot employee. He lies when are in stock he is too lazy to pull out a ladder and get items from overstock. He was rude enough to tell me “ can order it myself. “ while another employee named Roy just laughed neither wanted to help and treated me as if I did not belong in the store. I’m very confused and disturbed about the situation that took place. Want more in detail just reach out.

                Awesome store
I have been shopping at this HD for well over 15 years and can't say enough about how the employees go out of their way to make sure I find what I am looking for and that I receive a smile from someone. I obviously deal with the contractors desk more than the regular staff but to have home store filled with people who understand my needs and help me achieve my goals are priceless!!! I wouldn't switch stores unless they made me.

                  New Self Checkout is CRAP!!!!
I frequent the Home Depot in Balch Springs a lot since I have so many projects going on and its close to my house. Recently this store location changed the configuration of the check out lines and I want to say.... who ever in their infinite wisdom decided this was a good idea is an ignoramus that evidently does not shop at the stores nor does this person by lumber. Today, Sunday 1/14/2024 around 2:30 pm I had a store experience that was absolutely uncalled for and the lady needs to be wrote up or fired. Because you guys crippled the self checkout, which is more and more being shoved down the consumer throats, now the line with the checkers for lumber now stays to the middle of the store. Yesterday I bought some 12' lumber, so I just waited it out for a while. I wasn't happy about it, but I waited. Today, I simply needed three more 8' boards and once again, as always, the line is to the middle of the store. I said, well, I only have some 8' boards, I can just to to self checkout. I pushed the lumber cart with my three boards to the almost empty area of self checkout, no issues getting in with the cart or lumber. Well, the lady standing in the area walked up to me and told me I couldn't come in there with the lumber. I told her the checker line was long and I didn't have time to wait in the long line. Another gentleman behind me also conveyed to her there was only one person checking out. I told the lady I wasn't going to the other line and it was ridiculous she was trying to make me go to the longer line. I explained ever since they implemented that sorry boxed in design for self checkout the lines are so much longer now. She was kind enough to tell me "That's the decision WE made". She then proceeded to tell me if I didn't like the long line I could apply for a checker position. I am sorry, but it's bad enough I'm having to work outside in 15 degree temperatures trying to prepare colder night and not having pipes freezing up. However, her response "That's the decision WE made" and "You can apply for a checker job" was absolutely uncalled for. She should have just let me checkout and said nothing. I was not bothering anyone or anything with my cart or lumber. I can only say, if this isn't resolved with this lady and the alleged policy for no carts or lumber in the I will go out of way in the future to another supply store that I'm sure won't get argumentative with the customer and tell me all about my option to apply for a job and tell me I can't go into a self checkout lane.

                    We did this to ourselves
We sold out the mom and pop stores for the convenience and now we are stuck with dealing with employees that don’t know anything about the products they stock, nor do they care to learn. Management is just there to handle complaints and make sure the word from corporate gets past. The corporate folks have you fill out surveys so they don’t have to fake interest in their customers. They certainly never read them. Support your small businesses when you can.
