When it's time to make the leap into a big home improvement project, you might not have everything you need in the shed or garage. Don't let that stop you when you can stop by The Bee Cave Rental Center for tools, trucks, and large equipment.
Tool Rental
Start your next DIY project with confidence and the best tools for the job. Let The Home Depot Bee Cave Tool Rental Center fill in the gaps in your toolbox with the tools you don't have on hand. Rent what you need and bring them back when you're done. In fact, if you found the tools so useful that you didn't want to return them, we have used tools available for purchase. Compared to the new items on our store shelves, they're discounted.
Leaf Blowers
Try renting a leaf blower to blow leaves away. Fall will be in full swing soon, so have a leaf blower ready to go. It's far less work than raking them into piles. It's also great to use on concrete sidewalks, driveways, and hardscaping surfaces. You can rent one of our backpack, walk-behind, or handheld leaf blowers.
Generators
Whether you're running a large welding machine or working in a remote location, you'll probably want to rent a generator. Generators also keep basic electrical appliances running if there's a power outage. Make life easier during fieldwork or after extreme weather knocks out your power.
Heaters
If you don't like working or being outside in the cold, browse our heater rentals. Portable heaters keep outdoor events, barns, or workspaces warm. They're safer than torch patio heaters because portable heaters don't have an open flame, and they also blow the hot air for more coverage. We carry electric, gas, and propane heaters in various sizes. Pair this with nice outdoor lighting and a jacket, and you can extend work or play well into the evening with the extra warmth.
Truck Rental
To move large tool rentals or anything else, we keep pickup trucks as well as Penske moving trucks ready for rental, with availability varying by store. You're sure to find the right size truck rental for your project so you can keep your timeline running smoothly. As your trusted source for storage needs, packing, and DIY projects, it's easy to make us your go-to source for moving and transport as well.
Box Trucks and Penske Moving Truck Rentals
If it's time to relocate to a new home, let us help with that. Explore our rental box trucks. We also offer Penske moving trucks in sizes ranging from 12-feet to 26-feet, but as always, availability varies from one store to the next. Use our trucks to haul all your belongings — from everything in a college dorm to the contents of a 4-bedroom house. Our trucks have different rental requirements and sizes than Penske moving trucks, so review our FAQs or consult an Orange Apron to ensure you choose the right rental truck for you.
Large Equipment Rentals
Handle massive projects with the right professional equipment. Our large equipment rentals give you the power you need to finish the job yourself. From the boom and scissor lifts to give you a boost to the mini excavators and mini skid steers for hauling materials, we've got an expansive variety of equipment available. If a large equipment rental could help you, explore our selection to see what we've got in stock.
Although we're calling out popular tool, truck, and large equipment rentals, not everything is available at every rental center. If you have a particular tool in mind, please reach out to your local rental center to see where you can pick it up.
How do I rent tools, trucks, or large equipment?
Stop by your local Rental Center to see what's available. If you'd like to know what's in stock, call first to inquire about a large equipment, truck, or tool. You can also read our tool and equipment rental or truck rental pages to see if what you need is offered at your favorite store. For more info on renting tools or large equipment, check out the Tool Rental FAQs, which includes equipment terms and conditions.
Can I choose how long to rent a truck?
Rent a truck or cargo van for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes might be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on the length of your project. Be sure to factor in the drive to and from the store, as you must return it to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Make sure to read the documentation before choosing your truck.
When do I return the tools?
You can return the tools early if you finish your project sooner than predicted, but on time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off built-up dirt from the tool as well. If you need them longer, call the rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.
Do saw rentals come with saw blades?
Yes, power saw rentals generally come with blades, but we do recommend that you purchase your own. Your rental likely won't come with a new blade. However, you may luck out and have a sharpened blade on the saw. Since there's no guarantee, it's better to buy a suitable blade, just in case you need it.
Do I need to refill the rental truck with gas?
Yes, please fuel up the truck before you bring it back. Note the amount of gas in the tank when you receive the truck, and be sure to fill it with enough gas to match that same level. If you don't, you have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Can I rent a truck or large equipment with only a driver's license?
No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be 21 or older. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. We do not accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck. Some tools and large equipment also require ID verification via CLEAR.
How do I get my large equipment rental?
Depending on your location, you may be able to get large equipment delivered straight to your job site for an affordable rate — whether that's out in the field or at your own home. We'll need at least 24 hours' notice so we can adequately prepare your rental delivery for you, and you'll need to rent it for a full day. In places where delivery isn't available, speak to one of our knowledgeable associates for the best way to get your large equipment.
What are some ways to avoid penalties and extra fees on rented large equipment?
Think of your rented large equipment as any other vehicle: Make sure it's parked legally and that you obey traffic laws. Read the operator's manual so you're using it correctly to avoid damaging the equipment or injuring yourself. Also, plan ahead to ensure the equipment is ready when you are, as cancelling within 12 hours of delivery means you'll incur a cancellation fee. Make sure to return equipment by the deadline or extend the rental period to accommodate the extra hours or days you require.
