What additional precautions is The Home Depot taking in light of COVID-19?
As part of our normal practice, our stores and other facilities are cleaned and sanitized daily. Yes- I purchased a clay pots for $36.58 from this store. I came to the store because usually have a better selection than my local hardware store which is a Home Depot competitor, at checkout the team member pulled the tag off of the pot, looked at it then went to another register for a tape measure and measured the top and sides I asked what she was doing and she said that it was a requirement for all team members to measure any pots that, I asked if she was doing this because she felt I switched proce tags- she didnt say a word, she then took the number from the tag and entered it into the system- and then did a comparison look at the item on the screen and the pot in the shopping cart- I advised how disappointed I was with this targeted treatment and as a Black person I felt this was disrespectful and disgusting- she still said nothing, no apology, nothing to understand and tossed my recipte in the pot. I called this store in the car to speak with her manager and no one answered the call.

This store always has exactly what im looking for however, I alway have to ask 3 people before I find what I need. No one ever offers help and if they dont work in the department you need, then they are usless. BUT... chances are the store has what your looking for. Just give yourself 20min to search for it

Don't buy appliances here unless you want a lot of headaches!
We went to buy a stackable washer/dryer with all our measurements. The appliance salesman sold us a set he said would fit. We went home and remeasured before we bought to be sure. The installer came, had a bad attitude and told us he wouldn't install it because it wouldn't fit. So we went back and bought a smaller one. It took 5 days to get my card credited for the first purchase, so I had 2 charges for a while on my card. The second set came, same snotty installer who placed the washer/dryer into the space (it fit), but wouldn't connect the dryer vent because he said it wouldn't fit. My dryer vent pipe is a standard 4" and it fits fine. Instead, he told my roommate to go buy a larger dryer vent hose, something that doesn't even exist. He was also pretty rude to my roommate.
I called the store and asked to speak to the store manager. I wasn't allowed. I got an assistant manager who had me send photos of my dryer vent with a ruler to prove I'm not crazy? Anyway, no resolution yet, I doubht they'll end up doing anything......

The issue is not with the store. Employees and sales very friendly and professional. The problem is with inventory and delivery. One SKU# 1002406242 has different barcodes associated with it leading mismatch colors of the product being picked and delivered.

Very helpful staff. When making an exchange the clerk explained exactly where I would locate the replacement. Another staff person met me in the aisle to answer any questions.
On a separate visit, staff helped my son find everything on his shopping list, answered his questions, assisted him to the register, and helped us to secure wood to the roof.
The staff is great!

I am consistently blown away by the salespeople at the Sidney Marcus location!
In the past two weeks, I've needed advice about re-grouting tiles, rekeying locks, garage door openers, thermal expansion tanks....no matter what the project is - when I ask for help, if that salesperson isn't an expert, he/she will bring another over who is.
I have never walked out without getting my questions answered and feeling like I can do it all by myself. I know I'm a geek - but I love Home Depot!

Lori helped me to design my kitchen cabinets and she was so creative and thoughtful during the process, answering all of my questions and helping me to choose everything from the brand of the cabinets all the way down to the cabinet pulls. I went to the Buckhead location to look at runners for my new apartment. James helped me and I chose a style. He shook his head when I pointed to how great the price was. He said, "mistakes happen sir, but this is not the correct price. You chose this because of the price?" I said yes. He shook his head as if he was losing money out of his own pocket but with respect. I didn't know. I just saw a deal on exactly what I came for. He was super chill and very polite. It wasn't until all 3 peice were cut and I was walking away with the paper with the price and length that he told me it was MUCH more expensive. It took a manager to over ride that large a discount but the cashier Ashley was just fabulous. Calm and professional just like James. Both knew this was sideways and not cool for the company but all involved felt it was the right thing to do.
I'm not suggesting this is common and please don't shop for errors, but they all went above and beyond reasonable help and consideration. And while all of this happened, I was stopped or greeted by nearly 10 employees in less than half an hour. Who does that anymore? Everyone really seemed to care that I was even IN the store. I'm going back. You should too.

This store has quality employees! They went above and beyond my expectations and truly made me feel welcomed in my new city after moving across the country alone. Special shoutout to Alisia who was incredibly kind and patient with my complicated returns/pickups/exchanges. She was so sweet and ensured that everything was handled, while also taking time to get to know me and ask how I'm liking Atlanta so far. There was also a v sweet girl working in the Plant section who was a wealth of knowledge. She answered all my questions and then some. She has only been working here since April and you can tell how much she loves her job just by everything she knew and the enthusiasm she brought! I'm so excited to have such an amazing local Home Depot!

Andrew Peters of store # 6986 should get employee of the decade. He helped me get a lodged hinge out of an opening in a medicine cabinet mirror. He was so knowledgable, patient, humble, and happy throughout the process; and this was not a quick fix. The several times I was at this location, I met Andrew through with other questions. He never brushed me off, but took time to lead me to the proper area, answer any questions and found solutions for my project.
Please acknowledge him and hire more 'Andrews'...he is a great diplomat and honorable employee for the HD brand.
