The Home Depot Rental Center at Canton

Start your DIY project with confidence and the correct tools. Let The Home Depot Tool Rental Center in Canton fill in the gaps in your toolbelt with the items you don't have at home. You can rent what you need and bring it back after you've completed the project. If those rental tools just went from wanted to needed, ask about purchasing used tools. The retired rental tools are discounted compared to the new items in our aisles.

A Comfortable Workspace is a Productive One
Get ahead of summer heat by prepping in the springtime. Plan to keep your workspace comfortably cool so you can get more done. We have generators to run fans, rental air conditioners, and all your large power tools.

Tame the Trees and Lawn Early
Greet the spring with outdoor power equipment rentals and whip the yard into shape again. Neaten the yard with a rental lawn mower and leaf blower, the trees and hedges with a chainsaw, and the driveway and sidewalks with a pressure washer. Your outdoor oasis will be looking fresh and ready for new spring flowers before you know it.

Load 'N Go Trucks
If you'd like to rent a tool but lack the room in your car to transport it, let us help with that too. Check out our Load 'N Go rentals and rent a truck. Avoid taking up driveway space with an old pickup truck for times you need to move something. Just rent a moving truck and keep your driveway open for hopscotch, grilling, or a game of catch.

To get tools and transportation for your moving or DIY project, check out The Home Depot Canton Tool and Truck Rental Center. Having the correct tools for the job makes a difference. We're here to help you get your DIY project done.

How do I rent a truck or tool?

Stop by your local Rental Center to see what trucks and tools are up for rent. If you want to be sure of what's in stock, call first to inquire about a tool or truck. You could also read our tool rental or truck rental pages to see if what you need is offered at your store. For more info on renting tools, read these Tool Rental FAQs, which includes equipment terms and conditions.

Can I rent a tool by the hour?

You can rent a tool for four hours or more. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small home improvement jobs may only require a short rental period, and bigger jobs are no problem. You've got options to rent tools by the week, month, or day, too. If you need it longer than what you signed up for, call your Rental Center to arrange an extension and avoid late fees.

When do I bring the tools back?

It's fine to return the tools early if you complete your project faster than planned, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off residual dust, mud, and grime from the tool as well. If you need them longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.

Can I choose how long to rent a truck?

Rent a moving van or truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes may be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the week or the day, depending on how long your project is. Don't forget to factor in the drive between the store and the job site, as you'll need to bring it back to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Make sure to read the documentation before you choose a vehicle.

Do I need to refill the rental truck with gas?

Yes, please fuel up the truck before you bring it back. Match the level of gas that was in the tank when you received the rental. When you don't refill the vehicle, you'll be hit with a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.

Can I rent a truck with only a driver's license?

No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. Please bring your credit card for Home Depot truck rentals, as we don't accept cash. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck.
