What additional precautions is The Home Depot taking in light of COVID-19?
As part of our normal practice, our stores and other facilities are cleaned and sanitized daily. Following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), we've increased the frequency of cleaning and general hygiene maintenance in stores and other locations. We've also stepped up our efforts to disinfect high-traffic and high-touch areas like self-checkout, door handles, and bathrooms, as well as posting signage about handwashing and other preventative actions.
We're promoting social distancing in our stores and distribution centers, which includes stores limiting the number of customers inside at any given time. In addition to training our associates on social distancing, we've placed distancing markers at some of our checkout counters and are making overhead announcements on our store PA systems asking customers to practice social distancing.

The above rating is not applicable to the actual purchases made, but an indictment of this store's store-to-home delivery system. First, it gives the impression of an unfriendly and uncaring attitude toward senior citizens and the disabled. How am I - a woman of almost 80 - to be able to get 2 toilets from boxes delivered by dropping them in my front yard into my house? Their policy is inflexible, and such rigidity toward the elderly and infirm is unconscionable. Second, their delivery time frame is unreasonably broad. Unlike most companies that give a delivery window of 4 hours (say, 8 to 12) in the morning or 4 hours in the afternoon (say, 1 to 5), this Home Depot's home delivery window is from 6 in the morning to 8:00 at night. Are we to sit by the window for 14 hours on the delivery day to forestall potential theft from the many porch pirates circulating among our neighborhoods? Third, I was told that I would be called by the delivery personnel an hour or so before delivery in order to shorten the watch time. The only problem is that whoever made out the invoice put my phone number on the invoice completely wrong. It was a number that I was totally unfamiliar with. This left several possible scenarios, none of which were good........... (a) They call the wrong number. No one ever answers. They don't deliver my already-paid-for merchandise (and my already-paid-for home delivery). They return it to the store. I am back to square one. (b)They call the wrong number. Someone else (not me) answers. Someone whose ethics are less than mine gets my toilets delivered to them. I am still charged for them (and the non-delivery). Even if I manage to get the charges rescinded, I am on phone loops for hours, and I still don't have my toilets. Home Depot is still not off the hook even if they sub out their home delivery system to another company, because they have used very poor judgement in farming out this service to another company whose policies are so substandard. I may make purchases at this Home Depot again ---- maybe ----- but I will NEVER contract with their home delivery service again.

This store has very friendly employees and go out of their way to help you in anything you need- The one department that stood out for me was the flooring/tile department. The young men (2) always kept asking us if we needed help and they would be more then happy to help us. Asked them for advise on certain flooring and were very knowledgeable of products.
