How do I get my mulch?
This year, enjoy free mulch delivery from our stores when you hit a purchase threshold. Our associates partner with a third-party, delivering your mulch in a vehicle that matches your project needs. Small orders will arrive in a car for a $3 fee, medium orders utilize our vans at a $35 fee, and large orders come to you via box truck or flatbed truck at a $79 fee.
Can I pick up my mulch order myself?
Yes, if you prefer, you can pick up your mulch in your own vehicle. We're also happy to help if you need it. After you purchase mulch online with store pickup or buy it in-store, go to the drive-thru or mulch loading zone if your store has one. An Orange Apron can load a small or medium mulch order directly into your truck or SUV. For very large orders of bulk yard or bagged mulch, we encourage you to choose delivery.
Does The Home Depot deliver mulch?
If you have a small bagged mulch order, you can get it delivered to your door via a store-fulfilled local delivery service that uses third-party drivers. Your mulch will arrive in a regular car or van for just a $3 delivery fee. Loose mulch orders, also called yard or bulk mulch, will come in a truck. If you order a specific number of bags, you may get free delivery. That threshold varies from one store to the next. However, you'll be able to verify the cost at checkout.
Who qualifies for flatbed or large truck mulch delivery?
When you're ordering huge quantities of loose mulch or pallets of bagged mulch, you'll qualify for box truck or flatbed delivery. Often, these are landscapers, Pro customers, or serious DIYers undertaking a major landscaping project. There's a minimum pallet order to maximize resources and usually a delivery fee. Orders that pass a threshold may qualify for free delivery.
How do I treat weeds in my veggie garden?
Weeds might start peeking through in the garden beds, even if you put down a landscape fabric or mulch to keep them at bay. Be sure to get them before they go to seed. Pull weeds from the root in vegetable gardens, and dig up the roots if the weeds snap off without them. If you choose to treat weeds with weed killer, find one that's safe for pollinators and pets — and wear thick rubber gloves and a respirator to ensure that it doesn't touch your skin or get in your lungs.
Is it possible to fix scorched grass?
You'll need to rehydrate those roots. The solution for how to get burnt grass green again is easy: Fix the scorched spot with a good long drink, then continue to water it regularly. It should perk up within the next week. On the other hand, the method for treating grass damaged by dog urine isn't as simple. Grass damaged by pets must be removed, neutralized, and replanted in fresh soil with new grass or patch and repair grass seed.

Whenever you water, give all the plants a good drink, and don't skip it just because it's not the ideal time. The plants still need hydration, regardless of the time on the clock. Depending on your lawn health, climate, and grass type, you may also want to look into applying a lawn fertilizer.
How do I fertilize my plants?
Once you've got your plants into pots or the ground, you'll need to make sure they stay well-fed and hydrated. Choose an organic or synthetic fertilizer that suits your needs and gives your garden a boost. You can even find one intended for your plants, whether you need a vegetable fertilizer, fruit tree fertilizer, succulent plant food, or a general garden fertilizer. Only apply as often as recommended on the packaging. Remember to always water immediately after, as directed, so your plants don't get fertilizer burn.

Bushes, shrubs, and trees climb toward the sun and lose their shape over time. In the summer, they'll be growing fast, filled with buds and blooms before you know it.
