I ask the Mayor's Office to investigate this breach of Health Code during this pandemic.They give dirty looks to customers and walk away if they see you coming. Where to start; Billing: rented a machine that I was told would cost $104 for the week, where it also shows $104/week on their website. Yet, at time of return I was billed $130 + an additional $19.50 for damage protection which neither of the two guys behind the rental desk ever mentioned. Customer service: the only way to talk to anyone about this was calling their number. Not only did I have to wait around 7-9 minutes every time I called, but every time I was told I had to speak to a manager and they transferred me to a dead line with No voice mail or anything. So I would have to call again and wait another 7-9 minutes, this happened three wonderful times. Once I finally got the manager there was never any apology for their mistake. When I asked why I was billed 130 instead of 104 she had no answer except saying I’ll reimburse the difference, but never once apologized. When I asked why was I billed 19.50 for damage protection when nobody once addressed this again, her response was because you didn’t hear that I’ll reimburse you. Being in sales and a similar role, you don’t ever tell a customer they didn’t hear something and I would have never said yes to pay 19.50 for damage protection on a carpet blower of all things. But just her tone and lack of empathy which is why the review is what it is. After all that the operational manager’s Assistant calls me to say they can reimburse me the difference if and only if it’s back on the card I used. I said totally and thank you and then he says oh, you need to come in and sign a form saying you approve of this reimbursement. I said I’m in Hollywood at the children’s hospital because my daughter went to the ER and was admitted for having trouble breathing and you want me to drive to the marina store to say yes I agree to be reimbursed the money you guys clearly overcharged me for? He continues with yes its store policy (clearly not listening to a word I just said and instead reading off an employer handbook) and I told him forget the money you (follower up by something not kind I will admit) and hung up. He dialed back just a minute later to say not to worry you don’t have to come in we figured it out. Final Bill: Got an email after the call showing reimbursement of $31... not sure where this number came from but it’s definitely not $25 + $19.50 + taxes on those two amounts. Just speechless with how that all went down and will start using other places than this retail store who doesn’t give two about their customers of 15+ years.

(items were presented to customer sevice). The supervisor, Novia, agreed with the computer. This is not the first time that I had a computer related problem at Home Depot. I find Ace Hardware to be much more receptive to their customers and they don't use the excuse that they "can't overide the commputer"

They have a large variety of plants (the avocado trees in pots did need watering, however, as their leaves were turning yellow). I was given useful and pleasant assistance from more than one employee. The store was very clean. Their lowest priced washing machine was competitive with other stores' pricing. Both cashiers in the garden area were very friendly. I found what I wanted. I will definitely go there again.

At the return counter around 7:27pm on Friday evening, the line was short and I still need to wait for a good 20 minutes to get to the cashier. Once at cashier, I specifically ask for a gift card so I expect to make purchases at Home Depot in the near future. I like to have the credit immediately as gift card instead of keeping an eye out while waiting 1 to 2 weeks for credit back to account. Cashier Aliza ignored my request and credit back to my credit card. She lied to me that the system does not provide option for gift card because this is the only Home Depot that I have ever known to have a system that does not provide that option. Of course, I know the reason behind cashier Aliza being reluctant to give store credit because she didn’t pay attention to the first thing I said after she asked me what she can help me with and did not want to call supervisor to authorize modification in system after she messed up. On top of that, Cashier Aliza at checkout after ignoring my request to put everything on gift card credit, she told me the system “does not” provide option for store credit and insisted and I quote “that it actually worked out better this way”, my question is, did it worked out better for Eliza or for me? I don’t remember it being a job for the cashier in forcefully making stubborn decisions for customer even after customer clearly and specifically made request for something else. Perhaps she should making all the decision on however she wants in collecting carts in the parking lot then she wouldn’t not have to deal with any request from the customer except for “May I take this cart?”
