I am a big fan of my local hardware store - it's true - but it is not either/or. When I have alot of things I need, or if I need a major (above $50) I always go to this Home Depot. If you go in the middle of the day on a weekend, it is crowded, of course, and you may have to wait a couple of minutes while the associates help the people who go there before you. But, I have to say - this Home Depot is excellent. I have saved a ton of money here - since I have rental properties that always seem to need something - and I am not a natural do-it-yourself-er. Every time I go into this store, smile and say hello - the service is excellent. And the associates really know their stuff. Case in point: I went to the section that sells doors for a closet. They had nothing in the size I needed. Well the lady there tracked down a lumber guy who cut the wood down for me for no extra charge! That was $100 I saved on custom doors. The paint guy knows his colors, his textures and the brushes I need, etc. I recommend this store without reservation.

The customer service was outstanding, the store was clean, and I did not have to wait long in line.

NO MATTER WHAT TIME OF DAY YOU GO, WHETHER THE STORE IS SLAMMED OR EMPTY, STAFF ARE WILLING TO FIND YOU ANSWERS AND NEVER LEAVE YOU STANDING HELPLESS LIKE OTHER HDS I HAVE BEEN IN.

I like the Price of the product, the organizing and very easy to find items, even if you can't locate the product the store associate are there for your help.

Kelvin Jackson is always extremely helpful. I regularly go to the Rhode Island Ave NE Store in Washington DC because I know I can count on him to be helpful, professional, courteous and considerate.

I was extremely happy with my purchases and received help and assistance in the gardening section from a knowledgeable employee names Errold. He helped me find what I wanted, gave me recommendations on plant type and how to cultivate it, and was interested in the progress. I would come back and ask for his help again.

I was assisted by GERSHAUN - GKN0279. She was GREAT!!! 10 out of 10 for her service. Good customer service. Issues with my visit: went online and found what I wanted SKU 1001-519-272. homedepot.com told me there were 2 in inventory at this store. Drove to the store. Inquired about item. Was told inventory was zero and that another person was also asking the same day about item. Why is inventory wrong? Why if you have had inquiry already have you not corrected inventory? It cost me time and money to drive to store for nothing! I did find a unit that either had been display or return. It had some damage. I asked if I could buy it. Gershaun worked with me and the store manager to agree on a price. I'll need to fix/replace parts, but overall it will work. And seeing as no other stores in the area have it in inventory, this was the only way I would get this item... Love Gershaun. Hated the ordeal.

I normally do not take the time to complete shopping surveys. Today was different. Store Associate Douglas Rivas was very attentive and extremely helpful in assisting me to recover parts for a special lamp that I own. I was expecting to be pointed in the direction of electrical supplies and thought I'd spend hours trying to figure if I was purchasing the correct items. I was pleasantly surprised to find an associate that made me appreciate coming into the HD today. Mr. Rivas was professional, patience, kind and very knowledgeable. He is certainly a good candidate for employee of the month or year! Thanks you so much for a very pleasant shopping experience. Mr. Rivas, you have definitely raised the bar on customer service!!!

I am writing to express my gratitude for the outstanding services I received from two of your employees while at the Home Depot on last evening. I came in just to get a quote on window blinds, but after speaking with the young lady in the Window dept. I ended up making my purchase on last evening. She was very knowledgeable and accommodating. It went so smoothly and fast that I ended up in the light department and again, this young lady was equally as informative about the products (motion lights) that again, I ended up leaving with a purchase from that department also. So, I want to give a "shout-out" to in my opinion the BEST two workers at The Home Depot on Rhode Island Ave, NE! Mrs. Timbers

I have never filled out an on-line review. For anything. Ever. I have also been to dozens of Home Depots on thousands of trips - many because I forgot something that I should have bought the first time and am definitely not psyched to be driving back. Having moved again and always wanting to improve and personalize my place I was on my fifth trip (not for the same item) to this Home Depot and was impressed with the consistently high level of customer service of the staff. They really were the nicest and most helpful staff of any Home Depot...or any large store really...Kudos to the employees!

Store was clean, the cashier was cordial and helpful. However there were no associates to help load my purchase.

i use my app and ask to some friends. the guys in the stores all about in all the areas is they dnt care. only if they know you. i work for a company and i am the buyer for them. so thats why i know a lot. I SPEND THOUSAND OF DOLLARS WITH YOU GUYS. BECAREFULL.

I had very bad experience with this store before, but it is much better now. Perhaps, a new store manager or a new store assistant manager, it is very different in positive way. Thank you!

I was impressed with how friendly and helpful the store employees were. I have never experienced this at this Home Depot.

The Brentwood Home Depot is a decent place to shop with friendly, somewhat knowledgeable workers, but do to petty theft; majority of items are under lock and key which makes a quick in and out a unimaginable shopping trip. On the flip side at least your purchase will be new and in a non-tampered box for which you can read operating instructions.

Although I knew what I was looking for, when I explained it to the Cashier, she understood clearly, but was unsure of which aisle I should go to. Because of that, she immediately inquired to (an)other Associate(s) and provided me the specific aisle to visit. I went to that aisle, picked out what I could use for my job and went back to the same cashier with ease of check out. The visit lasted about ten minutes...Swift and stress-free.

Overall satisfied with the service, cashier Kenneth was a great help.

Suggestion: Contractors should be encouraged to use the designated cashier to purchase their laundry list of items. That said, a "10 item or less" lane should be designated for persons with fewer items for purchase. When I see the lot full with commercial vehicle, I tend to think, "there is going to be a long lines at both counters with returns and purchases." Off to Hyattsville I go or maybe down to Loews. Additionally, I that the staff has been enhanced with older tradesmen with a wealth of knowledge regarding the best product or technique.

Great visit good customer service I would refer all my family and friends to this particular stores. I enjoyed my visit.

The layout of the store was great and easy to navigate. Sabrinare the Cashier was friendly and very helpful. Highly recommend.

The help I received here was exceptional. I will say that it was difficult to find store personnel looking to ask if I needed help. The one attendant that finally did was extremely helpful, and stayed with me until I finished my window treatment order for customized blinds.

The store was very clean and the cashier was very courteous, kind, and respectful. I saved money by shopping at my local Home Depot store and I tell my family members, neighbors, and friends that I look forward to shopping there again.
