The employees working at the Cherry Ave. store in Salem are consummate professionals. Unlike the competitor store located in Keizer Station, the employees here are not condescending to customers. Whenever I shop at this store, employees are polite and respectful. Rather than condescend, they are informative and willing to educate professionally.

Frequently out of stock on items and service is subpar

Employees are friendly and willing to help. When asked if there was a plumbing expert on hand the manager knew exactly who to call. He came right away and helped me find the plumbing parts I needed. Store was clean.

The equipment department (gentleman) was excellent. He took time to understand my project and suggest the correct equipment to utilize for the yard project. Marcus in the Window Department knows his stuff!!

I always say that if you cant find it at home depot - you dont need it! I go to this store onceor twicea week and some days I go 2-3 times. Always the same awesome people!!!! Almost every single employee knows where absolutely everything is!

Very pleasant visit. The paint department personnel were very friendly and very helpful and so was the cashier. I went in not knowing where to get started and was able to find someone to help me with all the questions I had to make better decisions on what items to purchase.

Monica, Paul, and Fred should be recommended for their above normal service, help, and tolerance. My handyman and I were somewhat anxious to get our multiple and varied list of needed renovation items fulfilled. They went beyond their normal way of being helpful to get us where we needed to be with multiple departments involved.

Clueless employees (in the evening) who will NOT offer help of any kind. It's a job and I show up for work attitude

My fridge died. I have diabetes and need refrigeration. I saw Bret..Appliance manager..at N Salem store. I told him what I needed and he not only found me a perfect match that was in stock..he matched the price to my budget needs. After being given delivery dates a full week away by everywhere else...Bret guaranteed next day delivery. He spent a lot of time helping me and was unfailingly kind...hard working...helpful. I would do business with him again any time and I highly commend him and the folks at N Salem Home Depot for being courteous and attentive.

I would like to write this review specifically for an employee who really went above and beyond to help me while shopping. While in the store today and most days I usually can't get an employee to acknowledge me. Irina however, immediately saw me, came over to me and asked if I needed any help. Irina took me exactly where I needed to go and helped me save a lot of time. She was very friendly and polite! I appreciate employees at any store like Irina! Thank you!

I always have a really good experience in this store. Everyone is really friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. It is really easy to find someone to help you out unlike some of the other stores I have been in.

I am very disappointed in Home Depot with their Veterans Policy that they only give Veterans discounts now to active duty veterans. I have always been given a veterans discount up until today. Veterans served 24 hours a day seven days a week not only on certain holidays. I will miss shopping that this particular Home Depot because the store has always been well stocked, helpful employees. But I will not be shopping this store or any other Home Depot because of this policy change.

The item I wanted said it was in stock online (10 of them) and it wasn't in stock at the store. I wanted a Honeywell 16x20x4 inch furnace filter. Trip was a waste of time.
