How do I fix drafty windows?

If your old windows need replacing but you need to make it through the winter first, seal them up tight for best results. Caulk the gaps well, then seal the entire window using a window insulation kit with plastic film and a heat gun. Add fabric threshold snakes along the bottom for extra warmth. Finally, trap and warm the air around the windows with blackout curtains or heavy drapes. Replace the windows as soon as possible.

What are good wintertime DIY projects?

In colder climates, it's challenging to work outdoors. However, cleaning up the yard before spring gives the earth time to settle before plants start growing again. Some time cleaning the basement, shed, or garage will pay off when spring comes. You won't have to replace lost tools with new ones because you can find what you've got. Polish up the tools, clean the rest of the house with cleaning supplies, and you'll be ready when the cold moderates and the sun comes out.

How do I prepare for snow and freezing temps?

When you live in a region where snow is possible, it's smart to upgrade or organize your snow removal equipment before a winter storm hits. Have a gas can ready to top off your gas snowblower if it's not already filled for the season, or check the battery on your electric one. Remember to get out the sleds for the kids, and prep salt or ice melt and a salt spreader. Make sure your outdoor taps are covered and drained, too, with all hoses disconnected. Are Kids Workshops offered at the Preston Hwy Home Depot?

Yes, the Preston Hwy store offers in-person Kids Workshops. These free in-store events take place every first Saturday of the month between 9am–noon. Registration for kids workshops is now available online and secures your spot at the event. We have a new kit pack every month to keep your little doer engaged. Kits include all necessary craft materials, kit instructions, certificate of achievement, stickers, an apron pin, and a Discovery Education extension activity. Paint and all other required tools are provided at the event. Store that has most of your hardware needs

We just moved to the area, so this was the first time at the store. We went first to order appliances and we were helped by Tracey in large appliance Dept. She goes above and beyond to help you get your order in and answer questions. Very knowledgable and thorough. Then we went to flooring/window treatment Dept and we were lucky to get Joni. She really knows plenty Re window treatments. She talked over various options, listened to our needs and offered suggestions. Attentive and helpful. Both women very friendly and knowledgable. We got what we needed at price we wanted to pay. Our appliances (whirlpool washer/dryer and GE fridge are great. Customer service is important and these two women filed the bill.

Scam

So went in the store yesterday to buy breaker box thing. Was in line and senlen they sell gift cards. So I brought 3 Visa gift cards. To only find out the website to check, activate or register the card never work. Tried all night. The number on the back only sends you back to the website. Can't talk to anybody in person. So I call the number on the back today. The next day. Why is all my balance on my cards $0. People say they scam. My thing is home depot you know this and still selling the gift cards in your store. So that makes you apart of it. On top of there's no way to get my MONEY BACK
