Frequently Asked Questions About Your Store

Are storage bins part of the Garage Storage Sale?

Get organized this year and enjoy more productivity. Projects go more smoothly when you can find your tools and supplies. The Home Depot Storage Sale runs June 22nd through August 18th in-store and online, and you can save on garage cabinets, storage bins, garage shelving, and storage systems by your favorite brands. We've got garage storage deals on all the items you'll need for an organized garage or basement.

Does the Rockland Home Depot have back-to-school products for classrooms?

If you're a teacher shopping for back-to-school, come see us. From maintenance like office supplies and disinfecting wipes to the fun stuff for art projects, we've got it. Writing utensils and Command hooks? Check. Glue guns and hot glue sticks to match? We have those, too. Find storage containers to keep it all organized, cleaning supplies, and more tissues and paper towels than you think you'll need. We love teachers, so drop by to get any missing school supplies.

What home repairs should I make before summer storms hit?

Be certain your home is equipped for relentless summer heat by replacing faulty components of your home and hardscaping. On your house's exterior, examine shingles or metal roofs for rust or damage that may let water leak inside. Keep gutters fully functional to keep rain overflow from backing up into your home when storms arrive. Chimney caps and vinyl siding should be changed out if they're badly weathered. Also, check cinder blocks and bricks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces and water damage. If water gets inside the crevices, you might be dealing with damage.

What kinds of moving boxes do you carry?

Pick up a variety of moving boxes to make your move easier. We've got the sizes you've been searching for, including specialty ones like wardrobe and TV boxes. Cushion any and all items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it safely. Look into our rental moving trucks, too, and take care of your DIY move needs in one place.

Should I get a portable generator or an inverter generator?

Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for any circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether dealing with tornados, hurricanes, severe thunderstorms, or blizzards, a portable generator lets you enjoy power after the elements take it out. When searching for generators for sale, keep in mind that inverter generators cost more than portable generators, but they're also quieter and cleaner. Always run your generators outdoors, away from windows and doors, for safety purposes.

Do you have doorbell cameras?

Enjoy privacy, safety, and peace of mind with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. Stop peeking through a window or peephole when you can watch animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you speak to whoever is at the door via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off potential porch pirates. Several cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you flexible and easy accessibility. Save video clips for future reference as needed.

      Nicest Home Depot anywhere!
About 4-5 years ago we bought a new dishwasher at Home Depot. We went there because every time we had been there before we were impressed by how helpful and nice everyone was. Truly it was a great experience going there. We paid for the dishwasher to be installed but the driver dropped off the dishwasher off and was mean and said he knew nothing about installing. I was in a new town by myself and only was here to get the dishwasher installed as I live 5 hours away. I was honestly scared. I called the store and was visibly shaken. I talked to with the manager and he said, “Hold tight, I’m on my way. I’m grabbing my plumber and we are coming to install it for you.” I was blown away! He did it! He was such a kind person. He and the plumber were extremely helpful to me. How many managers can or will leave their store and come to install my dishwasher? Hats off to Wayne, his plumber, the the lovely staff at Home Depot. Keep up the good work. 👍👍👍

          What Customer Service?
I had an extremely frustrating experience with Home Depot from start to finish. It began when I tried calling my local store multiple times. No one ever answered the phone, so I turned to online customer support instead. I attempted to use the chat feature three separate times. Each time, an agent would join the conversation, tell me they were helping, and then simply disappear. After waiting several minutes, I would ask if they were still there, only to be kicked back to the AI chatbot and forced to start over from the beginning, explaining my issue all over again. After the third attempt, I gave up. Since I couldn't get help by phone or online, I had no choice but to go to the store. Unfortunately, the in-store experience wasn't any better. By that point, I had wasted a significant amount of time just trying to get basic customer service. I understand that stores get busy, but customers shouldn't have to chase down help through multiple channels only to get nowhere. Between unanswered phone calls, chat agents disappearing mid-conversation, and a disappointing in-store experience, this was one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I've had. I expect much better from a company like Home Depot.

Staff is always helpful, cheerful & knowledgeable.
I care that the places where I shop treat their employees well, and take note when turnover is constant, which suggests unhappy employees and/or incompetent managers.

                  Outstanding Service from Ben!
I found Ben in the building supply area. This gentleman went above and beyond. He assisted me in lumber and plumbing he got me connected with windows and doors as well. He assisted ne with the checkout and loading of my smaller items. He then took my larger items to Customer Service desk to have picked up on a later day. Ben is to be commended for his dedication and customer service. It was a true pleasure to have him there to assist me.
