What additional precautions is The Home Depot taking in light of COVID-19?
The adjusted hours give stores the ability to staff appropriately and provide additional time to restock shelves and perform cleaning. As part of our normal practice, our stores and other facilities are cleaned and sanitized daily. Following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), we've increased the frequency of cleaning and general hygiene maintenance in stores and other locations. We've also stepped up our efforts to disinfect high-traffic and high-touch areas like self-checkout, door handles, and bathrooms, as well as posting signage about handwashing and other preventative actions.
We're promoting social distancing in our stores and distribution centers, which includes stores limiting the number of customers inside at any given time. In addition to training our associates on social distancing, we've placed distancing markers at some of our checkout counters and are making overhead announcements on our store PA systems asking customers to practice social distancing.

Brook has provided above and beyond service to myself. She helped me to choose correct item( I was about to pick a wrong one) and gave few suggessions. I didnt asked for help and looks like she understood my situation and voluntarily came to me if I need any help. Her attitude was very well appreciated. After helping me, she immediately went to another customer and asked if he needs any help and looks like her agenda is just to help !! One thing I like about Sandy store is that it stands unique from other stores and I always experienced it. Please express my sincere thanks to Brook!!

Went to buy a Nest Thermostat E. I checked out and drove home only to open the box and see that it was missing some pieces and that the Nest had been used. I drove back to Home Depot and exchanged it. When I got back home I opened it up and saw that they had once again sold me a used Nest with missing pieces. Very disappointed.

I received beyond exceptional service from Sonny. When we visited your store earlier today, he was near the entrance asking each and every customer if they need any help and when it was our turn, I am looking for some materials and he guided me to the correct aisle and bay. In addition to that as I came with my daughter(She used to come when there were kids crats every month), he also gave a small kids project which made my daughter her day. He went on explaining what all Home Depot does and helping customers like me when it comes to any DIY or how Home Depot can be part of the future projects when I am interested. He has vast knowledge and the representative like him makes Home Depot unique when compared to competitors and I hope all of your employees has the same stamina and openness. I believe all this would have happened due to your strong leadership skills, corporate goals and rich training.

This is not the place to find good customer service. I wasn't a difficult customer, I was just trying to pick up an order. Not only did they misplace my order, but they didn't have any interest in trying to locate it. They just kept pushing to refund me and send me on my way. They couldn't get rid of me quick enough. I went to this Home Depot (which is not the closest one to my house, far from it) because they told me on the phone that they could physically see the item I wanted and that they would hold it at will call for me (after charging my credit card for it). Instead of admitting they made a mistake, or try to get to the bottom of it, the employee basically said, "oh well" and left us feeling like he couldn't care less. This was perhaps my worst customer service experience ever. I will definitely not be returning to the Sandy location.

Not just youngsters without experience, but old guys and mature ladies who've been around the block and know a few tricks about do-it-yourself. Getting out of the parking lot can be a challenge when really busy, but they have several exits.

As someone who is more vulnerable to COVID-19, I was disappointed that I did not see ANY employees wearing a mask. There were more customers wearing masks than anything. If I would have known this, I would not have returned the product that I was there to return. THere was a breath/shield by the return desk, but it was off to the side which didn't serve, at all, in protecting either due to it not being near the cash register, the credit card machine, or the counter where products can be placed and handed over.

I rented a truck from Penske which is managed at the tool rental here, the rental tool working was older and so slow, after waiting almost an hour in line, the guy says well there is no truck here, i had people moving my house as i was picking the truck,rental guy says its the rental place fault not ours,sometimes they don't bring the trucks, we have been having a lot of trucks not showing, long story short i waited another hour for the home depot manager(not Derek a lady) to tell me there is one all the way in west valley, they never took responsibility on the issue, if you know the trucks haven't been showing .... why would you keep renting them! at least have the courtesy of calling me the day of telling me to go look somewhere else and try to find a truck and not waste 3 hours ... not to mention the 3 hours i had to pay the movers i hired for 3 free hours and the Uber to pick the new truck since i was dropped off at this location, Derek The (Manager) didn't seem to be aware of the help the tool rental guy needed even after walking by the 12 people in line, i come to this location on a weekly basis, sometimes more and it's very disappointing to see how bad this was handled

One of the employees came to our aid about faucets. We are on a tight budget, so we didn't want a hard sell, and we were very pleasantly surprised. This man was so knowledgeable and kind, he went through and explained the pluses and minuses of each faucet with the benefit of 30+ years of experience working for Home Depot in the plumbing section. He pointed us to the best features and let us decide for ourselves which to purchase. If I hadn't already been a Home Depot shopper, this guy alone would have convinced me to shop nowhere else.

There is a “was” price marked but it was explained to us that the appliances are never sold for that price- ever. We were very confused and asked for a manager. This is where things became disturbing, and that’s an understatement. Hishim, (I’m not sure if I am spelling that correctly as it was only spoken to me, never written down.) came over to help us so we explained our confusion to him and we were immediately met with his frustration and unwillingness to help. It was obvious by his irritated attitude and the computer bag he had slung over his shoulder that he was on his way out. After sensing that he was unwilling to help us because he clearly wanted to go home, I suggested he call another manager who could help so he could go home. His response was: “What, I’m not allowed to leave? I can’t go home?” I explained that we just needed clarity and he told us “This is just the way we do things, if you don’t like it, that is on you.” I was flabbergasted. I immediately asked for the store manager. He put his hand in my face and said “I’m not talking to you.” And began to argue with my husband who was upset at the disrespectful way we were being treated. Until this is resolved, we wont be back.
