Frequently Asked Questions About Your Store

Is there a sale on storage containers?

It's time to save during our Garage Storage Sale. Find great deals on storage bins to group your belongings, then arrange them on new garage shelving. Neaten your tools within tool chests and keep tools out of sight with sturdy garage cabinets. Save up to 15% off select garage tool storage solutions and 20% off select storage solutions. These bargains run online and in-store from 6/22–8/18 only, so shop fast.

Where can I buy back-to-school supplies for my dorm?

Come see us for your dorm essentials. Utilize our moving boxes or storage containers to transport your belongings, and disinfecting wipes and cleaning supplies to sanitize the space. Bring a tub of spackle to fill old nail holes and Command adhesive hooks to hang string lights. Power strips and extension cords let you place floor lamps, mini fridges, and microwaves where you need them. If you didn't get a new school backpack or underbed storage yet, we've got those, too. Be prepared to head back to college with helpful products from your Tuscaloosa Home Depot.

How can I prepare my home for summer?

Make certain your home is ready for summertime temps by replacing faulty components of your hardscaping. Check cinder blocks and bricks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces. On the outside of your home, inspect shingles or metal roofs for rust or damage that might let water in. Keep gutters clear and functional to prevent excess water from backing up into your home when storms arrive. Lastly, chimney caps and vinyl siding should be swapped out if they're in poor condition.

What kinds of moving boxes do you have?

Pick up a mix of moving boxes to make storage and moving easier. We've got the sizes you've been searching for, including specialty ones like TV and wardrobe boxes. Cushion your items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it safely. Look into our moving truck rentals, too, and take care of your DIY move needs in one place.

Should I get a portable generator or an inverter generator?

Restore electricity in your home even after severe weather takes it out. We've got the options you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are cleaner and quieter than traditional portable generators. They adjust to whatever power load is requested. This means they'll make less noise in times of lesser demand. When shopping for generators, keep in mind that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. Always run your generators outside, away from doors and windows, for safety purposes.

What benefits do doorbell cameras have?

Enjoy peace of mind, privacy, and safety with a wireless or wired doorbell camera. Stop peeking through a nearby window when you can view animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cameras even let you chat remotely via your phone, a useful interaction to scare off would-be porch pirates or talk to delivery people. Many cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you easy accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference and worry less with more control.

Poor customer service
If you order appliances from Home Depot twenty five percent of the deliveries are awful! You pay to hook them up and they half way do it. The leave the trash and do not clean up and they do not unpack the refrigerator. The dryer hose they refuse to put on properly.

    Great experience when ordering countertops
I had an appointment to see Jonee' in the countertop department and had a GREAT experience - she was very knowledgable about the Corian products and gave me a quote that was more than HALF of the other quote I received from a local company.

        College Move-In
There is always something we need to keep Condo maintained before school starts. But this time we just needed air filters instead of paint & putty! So Home Depot is our first stop when kids get finished entertaining on game day.

            Great Customer Service!
In a time of no floor help and self check outs, it was a rewarding experience to be helped by 2 associates at the Tuscaloosa store. O’Shea went way beyond locating a product shown as in stock but not on the shelves yet. Cindy was helpful at checkout telling me about the advantages of opening a Home Depot credit card for some appliances I need to replace. Thanks to both of these employees for making my day brighter.

                Outstanding Customer Service
From the time my family and I entered the store, Home Depot employees seemed liked they really wanted to be there which made our experience very welcoming, so when I am in the area, this would be my go to store.

Delivery people are hit and miss!
Half of the deliveries do not go well.

Store is run by kids and aging women who know nothing
There is a sign that said free delivery with a picture of a John deer lawnmower That is a lie and none of the very young employees could explain why the sign says free delivery when delivery is not free. Every time I come to this store the only employees are kids or elderly women who know absolutely nothing about construction appliances carpentry and now mowers but none of them care… it’s just a job with a check Very sad
