Very Good customer Service
I went to the store to purchase some lithium ion battery for my car remote. Laura, the store manager was there who went above and beyond to help me in opening the battery from the pack and installing the battery in my car remote. Laura from Vernon hills store was simply awesome.... I have never seen such a nice human being. I was extremely happy with her behavior and customer service. She is a true team player and I wish her ALL the BEST

Extremely helpful
Jim in tool rental was EXTREMELY helpful and went way above and beyond to help me out. He assisted with pro tips on a home project and helped make a perfect cut/sand to a very expensive slab of walnut.

My happy place
Wife upset? Kids nagging? Need a place to hide from it all and find a new home project?! This is your place! It’s hard to yell at a guy when he’s working haha! Wander the aisles for inspiration and ask Sal or one of the other helpful employees what you need and get on it! It’s hard for me not to spend my whole paycheck here haha

good location for lumber
This location had a great lumber selection compared to the other one I frequent. I also got assistance cutting down the lumber that I needed. At the other location, assistance never came, so I got the other things I needed and left.

Amazing customer service
Anytime I go into this store all the employees are so helpful and kind! I love this store cause I ALWAYS find what I need and if I can’t find it someone is ALWAYS there to help me find it! The store manager Maurice has proven to be a huge asset to the store when it comes to helping their customers like me! Also Mickey is also an amazing person who takes great pride in helping customers! I won’t go to any other home improvement store cause no one offers customer service like the Vernon Hills store! Thank you to everyone at that store!

Horrible experience in flooring
Rating 1 star as I must select that at minimum to rate. Horrible customer service. Waited over 30 minutes in aisle and as flooring desk with no help. Went to customer service to request someone be called to the aisle and after another 15 minutes no one showed. Many open partial boxes of tile on shelves. Disorganized and The store will not sell those partial boxes note remove from the shelves to clean up.

Kitchen Cabinets
You must make an appointment with Jeff Brainerd!!! He was amazing and so very knowledgeable about designing a plan, for the addition of cabinets, for the small space that we had to work with. He was patient in reconfiguring the look - it took hours. He went above and beyond by staying after his scheduled work day. I will add photos when the project is complete. I would highly recommend Jeff Brainerd at the Vernon Hills store.
