Take on any new home improvement project with the right tools for the job, even if you don't currently own them. Rent tools, use them, and take them back when you're done. Finish your project without cluttering up valuable garage or shed storage with tools you only need every so often.
Tool Rental
Start your next DIY project with confidence and the best tools for the job. Let The Home Depot Winchester Tool Rental Center fill in the gaps in your toolbox with the tools you don't have at home. Rent the tools you need and bring them back when the job is done. In fact, if you found the tools so useful that you didn't want to return them, we have used tools available for purchase. Compared to the new items on our store shelves, they're discounted.
Leaf Blowers
Try renting a leaf blower to maintain your yard. Fall will be in full swing soon, so have a leaf blower ready to go. It's far less work than raking. It's also easy to use on hardscaping surfaces, concrete sidewalks, and driveways. Clear your yard by using handheld, backpack, or walk-behind leaf blowers.
Generators
Whether you're running a large welding machine or working in a remote location, you'll likely need to rent a generator. Generators also keep basic electrical appliances running if the power goes out. Make life easier during fieldwork or after extreme weather knocks out your power.
Heaters
If you can't stand working or being outside in the cold, browse our heater rentals. Portable heaters keep outdoor events, barns, or workspaces warm. They're safer than torch patio heaters because portable heaters don't have an open flame, and they also blow the hot air for more coverage. We offer gas, electric, and propane heaters in various sizes. Pair this with nice outdoor lighting and a jacket, and you can extend work or play well into the evening hours with the extra warmth.

How do I rent a tool?
Stop by your local Rental Center to see what's available. You can also call first to inquire about a tool, or check out our tool rental page to see if it's offered at your favorite store. If it's not, check another nearby store or call our Rental Center associates to find where that tool may be available. For more information on tool rentals, read these Tool Rental FAQs, including equipment terms and conditions.
Can I rent a tool for a week?
You can rent a tool for four hours or more. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small DIY projects may only require a short rental period, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent tools by the day, week, or month, too. If you need it longer than your initial rental period, call the Rental Center to arrange an extension and avoid late fees.
When do I return the tools?
You can return the tools early if you finish your project ahead of schedule, but on time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off built-up dirt from the tool as well. If you need it longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.
Do saw rentals come with saw blades?
Yes, power saw rentals generally come with blades, but we do recommend that you buy your own. You'll likely not get a sharp blade when you rent, as most people won't leave one on there when they return it. However, you may luck out and receive an excellent one. As there's no guarantee, it's better to buy a suitable blade, just in case you need it.
