How many post caps does one 11/2 oz. tube glue? i.e. How many post caps per tube?

Hi: I did not glue my post caps but I would estimate that the 1.5 Oz. tube will glue approximately 15 post caps. Obviously it could be slightly more or less than that based on how much glue you apply. I used the glue to join two sawed sections of posts.

Howdy Glen, Usually people use acetone to remove adhesives like PVC vinyl fence cement. Another technique is to use finger nail polish remover because it contains acetone. happy cleaning, Coach Dave

One tube should adhere about six caps to the posts. This all depends on how much glue you use per cap.

Fence Job
I used this to join two pieces of vinyl lattice together. I used a scrap piece of lattice to cut strips about 2 to 3 inches long and glued those to both of the pieces at the same time. I cut some small pieces of wood to fit on each side of each joint to even the clamp pressure. I left the clamps on overnight and the next morning, they were rock solid. A little goes a long way and I used about 1/2 of one tube for about 14 joints (28 if you count both sides of the joint). I spread a full, even, thin coat on each joint surface. I don't know why they don't carry this in the stores - the shipping charge for one tube was more than the cost of the glue.

Excellent cement. I have had difficulty in the past getting the varying grades of PVC to bond to each other. This has been able to meet my needs and bonds polished to polished PVC. Very good product.

Its glue in a tube - not much to rate other than that it does stick the vinyl post cap to the post permanently. At $8+ a tube for a very small tube, the price is crazy high. Next time I will try Liquid Nails or just leave the caps loose.

Doesn't work on cracks
I have a crack in one of my vinyl fence post. I cleaned the surface and the in crack area and surface around the out side. Clamped it for 24 hours to make sure cement had time to cure. In hi hopes it would do the mending of the crack. This product just sits on the surface and doesn't penetrate the vinyl Open to suggestions there always the chance I did something wrong.

This product did not work on lattice. I had bought this product to glue together pieces of plastic garden lattice, which I thought was vinyl lattice. Evidently it is not, because this cement did not glue it at all. In fact, once the cement was dry, not only did the pieces come apart, but the cement could be peeled right off the lattice with no problem. I guess I have some other kind of plastic. Be sure you know what kind of lattice you have before buying this product.
