How can I couple two ends of 1/2 in, when they are ridged and cannot be rotated ?

Answer

One end of the coupling can be inserted into the pipe by rotating clockwise. To get the other insert barb into the pipe, you may need to heat the pipe up. Heating the pipe up with a heat gun or something similar will make it much easier to push the pipe over the fitting. For further questions, please give us a call at 888-229-2874.

My experience is with poly pipe, but think it should apply to your non-kinks as well. I simply slide a loose clamp over the pipe, screw the blue twisters all the way in, then place THE CLAMP DIRECTLY OVER THE TWO INNER-MOST BARBS to assure a solid, liquid-tight seal. Yes, it's a tight fit, but it has to be for the barbs to hold the pipe adequately. These blue twisters are also tough enough that I can also pound them into position using my 3-pound plastic hammer IF I can the beveled tip of the fitting just barely into the pipe,

It works as long as you use a hose clamp with it. Otherwise, the tubing may not stay on. Some have worked without them, but some did not. So I use a hose clamp with everyone of them now just in case.

Looks good on paper, LAME execution....
Was sold to me as "Just get the pipe on either end of the fitting and start turning it clockwise, it will pull the pipe together as you turn it and then just clamp on either side of the junction. Wala! You can even remove it by unscrewing it if you want." I thought, what a brilliant idea! Until I got it home. In order to function as described, the threads should be opposing! They are not. (my assumption when purchased, you know what is said when you 'assume' something) Even if the threads were correct to provide the functionality described, you would have to be superman to screw it together. Summary: TOTAL WASTE OF TIME & MONEY, JUNK. RATING = ZERO

Complete Crap - Do not Buy
Used this product for plumbing a garden watering system. Fittings blew apart with household and had to use hose clamps to secure but they still leaked. Horrible product.

Used with a 25 pressure reducer. As other 1 Star reviews mine leaked also. Will have to go back and re-plumb everything. 'Nough said.

Average Joe will love these as they easily twist in instead of having to be "beaten" on. THE SECRET is to apply the clamp OVER THE TWO INNER-MOST BARBS instead of the threaded portion to guarantee a tight fit and good seal. I have 60-80 psi water with multiple blue twister fittings in place for 3 months. No leaks or pull-parts whatsoever. I'm expanding my system now and like them so well that I'm swapping regular barbed fittings for blue twister. Incidentally, they are tough enough to be "beaten" if necessary. I consider them the next generation of barbed fittings!

Pure crap! Do not buy or use these fittings! They leak or blow off! I am trying now to remember where I buried a few! Time will tell though when I see the water puddle or river! Hope I am not out of town when it occurs. Returning all fittings to store. And PS I bought and used a brand new 500 foot roll of tubing from store I bought the fittings.

Complete garbage! I'm a licensed plumber, needed to do some 1/2 poly work at my own house. I would say every fitting leaked, with the clamps tight.. garbage. Now I have too cut all the fittings out and put the grey plastic ones in.. I knew better too, I should've went somewhere where they had the grey barbed ones. Do not use these blue fittings!!!!!!!!
