How to Get It

Product Overview

Use the ½ in. distribution tubing to transport water directly to your plants. Works as a supply line to an emitter or a feeder line branching off larger tubing or pipe. Another use is to punch emitters directly into the side of the tubing to deliver water along the way. The ½ in. tubing features an outside diameter (OD) of 0.620 in. & internal diameter (ID) of 0.520 in. While other manufacturers use blended recycled material to construct their entire tubing, Raindrip poly tubing has a unique layering method using 100% virgin content for the outer and inner layers for a more durable product, and middle layer of recycled content. Drip irrigation systems are easy to customize, install, and operate. As part of a complete system, the supply tubing transports water to the area to be irrigated. Drip irrigation gradually and evenly waters the root zone of your plants, keeping it moist but never saturated with water. Your plants maintain the ideal balance between water and air for optimal growth and overall health. Raindrip is a leading manufacturer of drip and micro-irrigation solutions and the trusted brand of landscapers since 1972. • Use in a variety of ways: as a main supply line connected to a low-flow, drip-watering device; as a feeder line that branches off larger tubing or pipe; and with emitters punched into the tubing to deliver water along the line
  • Works in a variety of areas, from small to large, flat or sloped, to water trees, shrubs, flower beds, groundcover, vegetable gardens, plants in pots, planter boxes, and hanging baskets
  • Tubing outside diameter (OD) is 0.620 in., internal diameter (ID) is 0.520 in.; connects to point-of-connection device using appropriate fitting; emitters and feeder lines can be punched directly into the line or attached to the end
  • Poly tubing is constructed using a layering method for durability: the outer layer, which is exposed to the sun, and the inner layer, which is exposed to water, is made of 100% virgin content; the middle layer is composed of recycled content
  • Works with Raindrip products and other products with compatible connection type
  • Comes with one 200 ft. coil of 1/2 in. poly supply tubing
  • To use as a main supply line, attach to a point-of-connection device connected to the water source; to use as a feeder line, connect to the main line with a fitting; to use as a dripper line, attach emitters directly into the line
  • Periodically check for leaks or damage; once or twice a year, remove end closures and flush each circuit until the water runs clear; in cold climate areas, winterize by completely draining the system to prevent lines from damage or splitting
  • Tubing is made of polyethylene using a combination of virgin and recycled content treated with UV inhibitors to prevent fading and cracking.
  • Use with a pressure regulator and filter connected to the water source
  • Use with low-flow, drip-watering emitter at end or inserted along the line
  • Raindrip stands by their product and gives a 1-year, 100% satisfaction guarantee. If your product breaks, Raindrip will send you a new one for free, just pay shipping and handling

KINKS
Joke to unroll and kinks that will not come out. Here are a few more characters to make limit

This is not a Drip Watering hose.
This is NOT a drip watering hose as a consumer sees it. It is simply a piece of hose (no fittings) for connecting drip hoses. Fine if you want to custom make your watering system but it is not a Drip-watering hose.

    Junk
It kinks, it doesn't hold on to any connections slipping out or leaks. Seriously avoid the 1/2" black hose. Only 3/4" blue-line hoses are good.

    Overpriced and poor quality
I install drip systems as a professional landscaper. Generally I use pipe purchased through an irrigation wholesaler, and there is a gaping chasm of quality between what professional companies use and this pipe. I should have known something was wrong when I purchased a roll and noticed that the rolling process used in the factory had begun to compress and flatten the pipe down. The side walls of the pipe are very, very thin. This leads to frequent kinks and makes the installation of emitters quite difficult. Even if the kink is removed, kinking in the pipe seriously compromises its strength and will lead to ruptures down the road. Furthermore, standard barb couplers are not compatible with this type of pipe.
