Katie, That should not be an issue provided that you allow the plywood to dry thoroughly and use stainless steel fasteners.

Asked by Suncoaster December 12, 2020

Answer

Suncoaster, This product is Exposure 1 rated; exposure 1 rated sheathings, either OSB or Plywood, are designed for applications where construction delays may be expected prior to providing protection. This product is kiln-dried. The FAQs does cover multiple products within the Dimensions line.

Is this panel painable?

Asked by Cds49 October 10, 2020
1
Answer

Cds49, Pressure-treated plywood is fine to paint provided that it’s dry enough for the paint to adhere. Depending on how wet it is as the time of purchase, it could take a couple of months. Sprinkle some water on a board that is laying flat, then wait for several minutes. If the wood absorbs the water, you should have no problem painting or staining it. If it remains there, your wood needs more time to dry. As this summer has been a time of great activity within the building industry, we believe that you should wait a minimum of 6 weeks before painting because the manufacturing facilities have been treating and shipping within throughout the summer (now); your wood will be wet.

Dear Msneen, According to our calculations--and assuming that the wood has had a chance to dry to 19% moisture content over time-- It weighs 11.5 lbs in the dry mode. Hope this helps you.

Works great for our project, replacing rotten fabric on two lounge chairs to hold cushions. A lot easier and sturdier than just replacing the fabric! The board was cut exactly to our specs. Thanks!!!!!

The in-store cuts were fine but for a single piece purchase, I was hoping for a better looking face side; open knot holes were not filled and could have been avoided all together.

These sheets were a perfect size to re-deck a failing ramp to a garden shed. The primary reason for the middling rank is that both sides were D grade finish with missing knots, splits and other imperfections. At least one side needs to be at least a B grade with filled knots and no splits to be presentable for such a purpose. I used the best sides available as I needed something immediate to remedy a safety hazard, but if I had had more time, I would have returned these for better sheets.
