Timberline topsoil
This product was sold at the price of the unbranded topsoil. After reading the reviews I was somewhat hesitant, but at $2.27 a CF, for what I needed to fill in, what the heck...I bought 8 CF, and to my surprise I saw and found nothing in the top soil, that so many described!!!No plastic, sand, glass, ect...on fact it looked so good went back and bought 6 more CF, to finish off another project, that I originally started with a name brand top soil.Perhaps HD changes the supplier of this low cost topsoil,so others may have not purchased what I did...but I found this product was fully satifactory.

This is fine mulch. Not topsoil.
How can they label this stuff top soil? There is no soil in the bag. It’s just finely ground mulch. Don’t buy this if you are actually trying to get top soil.

      Terrible Product
This product deserves zero stars. It is mislabeled as "top soil." While it might be usable for filling holes, it most certainly is not suitable for use in landscaping beds and gardens. The bags that we purchased included all kinds of trash, including pieces from plastic bags, chunks of hard plastic, and most disturbingly glass shards. Unfortunately, I could't see what these materials were when putting out the product in my yard. It wasn't until after I had watered the yard that it became clear how much trash material was contained in this so-called top soil. It took me a week to clean up the mess in my yard that this product created. I would never buy another Earthgro product. Home Depot should discontinue the sale of this product in its stores.

Worst Soil - Avoid at all costs!
Built 3 garden beds and a large herb garden. Used this soil to save on some costs, but a sad mistake. Lettuces, tomatoes, many of my herbs, eggplant, green onion, all of them affected by either fungus' or other soil borne problems. Ended up trashing most of my garden. Having bought about 100 bags, I now have almost 2 tons of bad soil I'm regretful for in my back yard. Even my Rosemary bush that had been there for 2 years and was growing like a weed, is now stunted and dying after laying 6 in's of soil at it's base. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!

Soil appeared to have amendments in it, more like potting soil than what I am used to getting when I purchase plain topsoil. Very nice surprise and at a reasonable price. I will probably purchase more at a later date.
