Of course using these boards becomes an exercise in finding the best of the worst from a pile that has been worked over by others. If you have patience to select them and your expectations are low, you can find serviceable pieces. If not you should be buying #2 common boards. I was dissatisfied with the stock in Paterson Nj store. I needed17 boards and they did not have them. Passaic Nj store was no better. I left there with only 12 boards. My selection standards are low but the total number of boards in the bins was less than 40

I got four of them for the shelf that I am making and asked to cut in 12in pieces, which was suppose to give me 32 even length pieces. During the process of staining I noticed that 4 end pieces are shorter (~9 in long). I like to plan my time and such drawbacks are very annoying. The quality itself for the price is great, I hope HD will have some kind of resolution for this as I already stained and not going to return it.

They work perfectly for making wooden flags. Any that are warped or crooked I use for supports. I have purchased 3 bundles and had very little waste out of the 3. They are not premium grade but work for me.

It's inexpensive, that's the best i can say about it. It splits easily, has lots of knots and not every board is complete in size without chunks missing. Did the job I need it for, but not without some frustration.
