Questions & Answers

are these boards finished on all sides?

Looking for boards with finished on all side (not rough sawn)
Asked by: Jeff
No, Community Answer. S1S2E means "surfaced (or smooth) on one side and two edges." The bottom is rough.

How many board feet would be in this board

How many board feet would be in this board
Asked by: Lake
No, it is not 8 board feet. That would only be true if the board were 12 inches wide. Since it is 4 inches, it would be your 8 divided by 3, or 2.87 board feet as Jack said.

IM looking to do a pretty big area, so I was wondering how much would I actually need for a 370 soft wall?

Im doing a new age/rustic look in my basement and I would like to know how much I would actually need to do this? Thanks in advance
Asked by: Greg
If your walls are 8' high and you are walling 47' of wall you would need 161 pieces, I would buy probably 170 pieces for mistakes, corners and waste cuts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this wood! I bought these and 1x6x8 for walls in a cigar room I'm building in the basement. I'm going for a rustic look so I didn't sift through for only the good boards, I was actually looking for inclusions but like ALL appearance boards at Home Depot, if you're looking for the good boards you definitely have to sift through. I ripped each board in half to make 2 boards at about 3/8 thick cause cedar is expensive. The boards smell great too, can smell them half way down the stairs.
