Eastern White Pine is the natural choice where warmth, character and quality are preferred. Everlasting for interior and exterior applications, Eastern White Pine has been the traditional choice of craftsmen in New England and Eastern Canada since the 1700's. Its qualities were known for having incredible strength, the ability to grow true and tall and yet be very light in weight.

Kiln dried, not moisture resistant
Recommended fasteners: nails, screws or carpenter's glue
Naturally decay resistant
Easily sand dimensionally stable

Q:What is actual thickness if these boards? I know it says .75 , but i seem to renember them being closer to a full inch thick?....

A: This is a rustic rough sawn board and the thickness may range from 3/4 " thick to 7/8" thick. Most of the boards tend to run on the thicker side, so closer to 7/8" thick.

A: 3/4. If you want 1" you need to go to a lumber yard or mill

A: Untreated, but pine will rot quickly and be eaten by beetles for that application

A: If you only need one side exposed, OK, but these S1S boards will likely have several knots that will be difficult to stain or paint. MUST use primer over knots like Bin Primer

A: This is a rough saw pine board, it would be better to use a pine board that has been sanded on all 4 sides.
