AnswersI won’t due to fact that it’s not that durable & the fact it’s tongue & groove where there thin wood grooves; there is plenty of other wood ( planks ) etc. at Home Depot to choose from. Remember different people will walk on a porch, different weight you always want to use a product that can be switched out if necessary

AnswersWhen I put them on the ceiling of my sunroom, I used a compressor and finishing nail gun and nailed to joists. I nailed them on the face but put the pressure up high enough to countersink the nails. It came out nice and you cannot see the nails and I do not notice the holes.

AnswersI used an 18g pin nailer with 1 1/2 in nails. I didn't pre-drill and didn't have splitting boards at all. However, set the depth correctly on the nailer because the wood is very soft and the nail could god completely through the board.

Nice Quality, Looks Great, Good Price
I made a headboard using these, and they fit together very nicely. It wasn’t hard to find good boards at the store. I only spent about 5 minutes finding the perfect boards. They also stain nicely too. I made a homemade stain with vinegar and steel wool. I live in a humid climate, and I’ve noticed when the air gets very dry sometimes in the winter, the wood shrinks a little. You can tell slightly in my close up photo. So beware of this if you will be installing on a large wall. You will probably want to acclimate the wood. My boys love this look, so I’m going to shiplap one if their bedroom walls. Just know that it is thick, so if you are doing baseboards, you will probably want to install the baseboards on top, because there will be overhang.

Front Porch Ceiling Project
One of our "stay home" project consisted of replacing the vinyl ceiling on our front porch with 1 x 6 x 8 white wood pine wood tongue and groove boards. The naturals imperfections, waves, knots and features of these boards were in our minds... artistic! Sure there were some flaws but this is "ALL Natural Wood". The 8 footers were easy to work with and were solid. They slid into each other perfectly. Center may have needed a bit of help to flush by use of a C clamp vise that clamped on to joist and allowed us to push in and hold board while driving in 16 gauge nails. Wife and I did this project in a week and we are inexperienced carpenters to say the least. We used Olympic Elite All in one stain in the Kona Brown color to stain the wood which soaked in perfectly. We applied the stain with a oil brush and then used a rag to smooth out the finish. The combination of the two (board and stain) left us amazed at how the overall project came out. Highly recommend. Price is right, also.
