This is a lightweight and attractive alternative to a ceramic or concrete planter. The neutral color and pattern of the planter will never detract from your plants. The outside is a matte concrete finish. Quality of the planter’s exterior and black resin interior look good. The planter doesn’t have a drain hole in the bottom. There’s a label on the inside bottom of the planter to remind you to drill a drain hole if you need it. You will need a drain hole if you use the planter outside, where you may not be able to control the water getting into the planter. Because the planter is light and many potting soils are light, you may need to place a brick or cinder block at the bottom before filling with soil. Otherwise, your plant and planter might be top heavy. I planted this with bromeliads, which are fairly light and don’t require much soil. In order to not waste soil, I placed an inverted nursery pot in the planter bottom as a filler.

Lightweight but not cheap, really has that industrial concrete look, don't forget to drill your drain hole if you are using it outside. I planted a Orange Rocket Barberry a Lemony Lace Elderberry and Autumn Fire Sedum in this picture.

We have been looking at tall planters and this one caught our eye with it's functional simplicity. Much much lighter than it looks, it is easy to handle, even with the soil in place. It did not come with a drain hole in place, but a few minutes with an electric drill and a masonry bit solved that. We now have it on our pool deck where we are getting a lily started. Very pleased.

Looks like a concrete planter, feels like a concrete planter but weighing in at 20 pounds opposed to a hundred it’s easy to carry and is very durable withstanding temperatures as cold as zero degrees, weather resistant. Standing a little over 18 inches tall and 10 inches wide at he open top. No predrilled hole is in the bottom but a small round sticker is placed inside the base suggesting this would be the place to drill a hole if need be. I flipped mine upside down, I like the look, color, size, shape and simplicity which made it perfect for holding my planter with aloe. Very confident this will last me a lifetime and the opportunity to drill a hole and planting a variety of foliage and flowers if needed

These containers are gorgeous. They came packaged well and in good shape. They look like concrete but are light - I could carry each with one hand (before filling). I easily drilled a drain hole in the bottom of the pot. A great tip for tall containers like this is to cut dollar store pool noodles into 6-8 inch pieces and put in the bottom 1/2 of the container before filling with potting soil. That helps to keep it light enough to move around and also saves on soil. These are a great addition to my front porch.

Beautiful planter, good for indoor or outdoor use (with some modification). This planter is lightweight, it's made from a fiberglass reinforced cement mixture, so it's sturdy too and can handle freezes without cracking. The planter itself looks like it's made from cement and is very attractive, especially when grouped with multiple planters in different sizes. With something this tall, you want to add some of the packing Styrofoam to the bottom of the planter to allow for drainage, and to eliminate the need to fill it completely with soil and keep it lighter so it's easier to move. You have to be careful though that you don't use too much foam that it becomes top heavy and susceptible to tipping in winds. To use this outdoors you need to drill a drainage hole in the bottom. I wish it came with a hole already and a plastic plug, but it was no problem to drill a h circle of holes in it then punch out the bigger hole. When you do this you see that it's loaded with fiberglass which explains how it can be so lightweight yet so sturdy. This is an awesome addition to our garden and I'll likely get several more in the future. I'm using it for a lavender bush and a small rosebush, which give it a somewhat southwestern look. This was unexpected but appreciated.

This planter is such lovely natural-looking decor to have in your home! Put umbrellas in it at the door - hold a dried arrangement of flowers, put it on the deck for summer decor with annuals or house plants - I want to put something tall and stately in mine, and I haven't decided what it should be yet.. thinking of going back to Home Depot to find just the right houseplant! But I will be drilling a drainage hole in the bottom before I do anything else. surprisingly lightweight - I really love it!
