AnswersYes we bought it a week ago in July and so far it’s working, we have watered the area on the days when there is no rain, and luckily there has been some rain, which I think has helped. Also the product absorbs three times it’s weight in water so that will help keep the moisture.

Have tried other grass seed products and this one works the fastest and most consistently. It fills in missing patches of grass quickly and the mixture looks like insulation so it doesn't attract birds who are out to eat your new grass seeds!

I used this last summer to fix a large area of damaged lawn that I had spread topsoil over and it worked great. Now I have a great lawn. I used a second bag over the entire lawn to fill in some spots. I'm sure it will continue to get better.

After a major rockscape project out front of our home. The lawn got tore up pretty good. We used this to cover the Scott's Sun and Shade seed. We had quick growth within ten days of application of both products. Very satisfied with results.

So I had a beautiful lawn then had a pool I stalled.. While escavating excess clay like dirt was dumbed in the rear of my yard.. On top of my good grass. I thought I would be able to rake the dirt down slope however the dirt became compacted Into my grass leaving a hot mess. The rear of my yard looked like a old dirt road. I read up on grass seeds and came across scotts patchmaster and watched utibe videos so I purchased it, but I raked up/loosened up some of the compacted dirt and applied the seeds and prayed hard because 23 days away I'm scheduled to have an eve t in my yard.
Day 1 applied
Day 7 fine grass coming up
Day 10 more fine grass popping up all over
So far I'm very Impressed!!!! I'm loving this product, affordable, easy to apply and appears to be working fast!!!.. Ill keep you posted about what it looks like at day 23...hooe my guest dont even notice!!

The Patchmaster was pre-mixed with fertilizer which made it very easy to apply. It was applied four days ago and we are already seeing green! I would definitely recommend this product.

I followed the directions and put down two bags. After three weeks I have one 2 foot square patch of sparse grass. That seems like extremely poor results.

We apologize for the inconvenience you’ve experienced when using the product. This particular product usually has a lot of success stories from users, but it is helpful when we get reviews like yours to help us produce quality product. For Cool Season grasses like Bluegrass, Ryegrass, and different types of Fescues soil temperatures must be at least 55 degrees (+12.7 Celsius) for grass seed to germinate and can take between 4 -21 days to see germination. Warm season grasses like Bermudagrass, Centipede and Zoysia, which germinates in early summer, requires soil temperatures between 75 - 90 degrees (24 - 32 Celsius) and can take between 5-28 days to see visible germination. Watering also plays a defining factor in germination. We recommend watering 1-2 times a day until germination is visible and then watering 1- 1 ½” per week as needed. Both excessive watering and not enough watering can slow down or even stop germination of the product. This is the second review I am posting about this product, that's how strongly I feel about how well it works and how UNRELIABLE some peoples reviews are!!! This product works. PERIOD! If you read the directions and do what you are suppose to do it works. I have read the other reviews on here saying it's a waste of money. Disappointing. Waste of time Etc. Yada yada. I don't know what product they used or how they used it. But it was not this product and not the way you're suppose to use.
In theses pictures. I planted this on October 10, 2014 and it grew to this in two to three weeks. After one week, 7 days, there was absolutely grass growing at approximately 3/4 to 1" all over the planted area. The picture along side the walkway the first 1 foot from it was planted with the product. The picture withe the rock wall. I'm sure you cam see the new grass. However, approximately 4 to 5 from the wall out was planted with the product after I completed the wall. And this is what it looks like. Also, I had to put down the haw as an insulator because a few nights after applying the product, back to back nights I. The THIRTIES. And it still grew just fine.
Disappointing? Waste of money? Bad product? No no and definitely not!
The only disappointing waste of money was the $60 I spent on grass seed and have it not do almost anything at all!
