A:  This item needs direct sunlight to heat it up for composting. You would not want it under a deck due to composting odors that can occur.

        A:  Yes, pull it out through the bottom door and place it back through the top. Or get a tool that you can stick through the top and hand rotate it.

        A:  Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, We have reached out to the manufacturer and their reply is, Thank you for your reaching out to us and we're sorry for the confusion about our composting guide. The compost rotation part is for the composter tumbler. There is no need to rotate if you have the 420L Compost Bin, just add fresh to the top and remove compost from the bottom when ready.

                    Racoons Ripped the Door Off Within a week
                    This was easy to put together and has good capacity. Our old composter the racoons got the lid off so the top of this was appealing. They couldn't get the top open on this one but instead ripped the front plastic door right off breaking the unit.
