Hi Greg, per the standards for naming conventions, our rail is listed here as it's sold, by the linear foot, and is available in stores. We sell this rail in 16ft sticks (#205665934), which can be ordered online and shipped to your home or jobsite. If you have additional questions, we'll reply as quickly as we can. Thank you.

Hi Mike, these rails work well as "sub rails," perfect for commercial or ADA adaptability where primary handrails already exist. These rails are not designed to serve as primary rails as they do not pass graspability requirements in many jurisdictions. That said, these rails are available in most stores that sell stair parts, as well as available online. If you have additional questions, we'll reply as quickly as we can. Thank you.

I am not familiar with your local township rules and regulations on railing installation. please consult with a local contractor or city hall to verify any specific requirements you might have or need to install a opposite hand rail. Also you can reach out to the special order desk at your local Home depot store and special order a 8' rail it is our model#6040RO . thank you

That's what sets us apart: You can purchase what you need by the linear foot. You won't get stuck with a piece of handrail you don't need. SureWood-LNL

Excellent news, Monk. We like hearing about successful projects and we're glad that you're happy with the results. That said, if your red oak railing is outside, in an uncontrolled exterior environment, this rail will eventually rot, and sooner than you think. Red Oak is not a good exterior wood specie. No matter how well it is finished and sealed, the grains will eventually absorb moisture. Also, the adhesives used to make this rail are for interior use only. While you didn't mention if it was outside in the weather, if this rail is out of doors, even under cover of a porch or awning, this rail will eventually begin to deteriorate. We suggest using pressure-treated pine as an acceptable, exterior-grade wood specie. If you have additional questions, we'll answer them as quickly as possible. Thank you. SureWood-LNL
