Poor Quality
I purchased 3. All three were received in unacceptable condition. Two had splintered/damaged wood and all 3 had poor construction. As I lifted them out of the box, the top wood frame came off! The little metal joint staples were sticking out of the wood completely. Also I agree with the other reviewer that the color is not red, but more of a blondish brown. Will be returning these immediately, which makes me very sad because it's the perfect size for what I wanted them for. I guess you get what you pay for.

I agree with the reviewer who said it looked like it had been made from an old pallet. Really shoddy quality - rough, unsanded and one of the legs was split on both units I bought. The slates do not line up evenly on the top and are held together with staples. Good size and design, but they look like awful otherwise.

Very poor quality!!!
Went to the store to pick up. They opened the box to make sure it was ok... What a shock, splinters everywhere. Crudely constructed. Looks like it was made from remnants of a pallet. This is the first negative review I have written. I buy online all the time. So disappointed with this. Mine looked very similar to the othe review that was one star. They refunded my money.

Nice, but won't last
This looks nice and matched my other raised cedar beds, but I don't imagine it will last longer than a single season. The cedar is less than 1/3" thick and only held together with a few mostly misplaced screws and nails. I added a couple of braces to the inside to make it sturdier.

This Product fits the decor at our ranch perfectly!
The western planter is perfect for our sitting area at our ranch for our injured armed forces personnel and veterans. It looks just like the picture online with the exceptions of calling it red cedar. The color, we ordered 3 of them, is more a blondish brown. We are pleased with this purchase as we are with all the products we receive from our home depot in Burnsville, MN.

Good materials and construction
I ordered two of these and was pleasantly surprised when they arrived assembled. The wood looks good, and has that nice cedar smell to it. The size is perfect for my use, which is to sit on either side of a park bench in a backyard garden.
I would not hesitate to buy these again, as they are well priced, especially for the quality.

"Petite and Pretty"
Liked these so much that we now have 4. LOVED that they're USA-made! They're not huge/clunky, and the wood is horizontal rather than vertical, which we feel makes them a bit dressier. Very nice product. If we needed more wood planters, these would be the ones we'd choose.
