Questions & Answers

How many block i need for 154 ft long for 9 ft high

Asked by: Jose
I would not build a 9 foot wall with these blocks. First, you should have an adequate base to support them. Then you will need to be sure they do not fall over with lateral bracing. A wall would be built better with 16x8x8 block Model 30161345. These solid block are for the top course to seal it.

How to calculate to cover 360 ft

How to calculate to cover 360 ft
Asked by: Juan
Thanks for your question. Each piece covers .889 sq. ft. given a 3/8 mortar joint between each piece. You will need approximately 405 pieces for that square footage. We do recommend purchasing a 10% overage for waste and cutting. Therefore, we recommend purchasing 446 pieces.

How many of these blocks come on a pallet?

Asked by: Bobthebuilder
Thanks for your question. The amount on each pallet could vary by region. However, there are generally 120 pieces on each pallet. An associate at your local store would be able to confirm the amount in your area.

16 in. x 8 in. x 4 in. Concrete Block is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 19.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow! If you've been looking for a 16x8x4 inch concrete block then you've came to the right place. These blocks are amazing the best I've ever seen. I used mine as part of the foundation for my shed which by the way I purchased from the Home Depot as well. You may have another use for yours and if you do that's ok my feelings won't be hurt. Everyone has there own plans and maybe a shed isn't what you had in mind. Anyway if you are looking for the greatest concrete block I ever purchased then you should give these a try.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Double-check your measurements! Beware - these actually measure 15.5" x 7.5" x 3.5". I purchased these to create a stable, level perimeter for several raised beds I'm building, and I'm glad I over-ordered because these will not cover quite as much area as I originally thought. If they were truly 16" long you would need 75 bricks for a 100' run; however, at 15.5" you will need just a couple more. Other than that these are solid, well-made, and I'm glad I got them. When I get done I hope my pecs and glutes stay well-toned!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Uses for concrete blocks These blocks are very versatile and easy to use. They can be used in a similar manner as pavers or retaining wall blocks but they are larger and are less expensive, thus more cost effective per square foot of use. Also, since they are plain concrete, they can be stained, which is very easy to do and not expensive. I stacked them, up to three high, for garden beds and stained them green. I laid them flat for a small patio and stained them brown. Turned them on edge and buried them slightly to line the boundary of my BBQ area. This maintains the separation of the BBQ area rocks and the adjacent walkway's crushed granite. Those blocks were also stained brown. Used this same configuration and color for washer pits. Yes, washer pits. For less than $40. It's a fun game that only takes one hand to play so your other hand can hold your beverage of choice. Lining the sides of a Bocce Ball court is next.
