Nice patio planters
I bought a pair of these for a couple of blueberry bushes that are now on the patio. These are a simply assembled product but appear to be a good design. I really wanted the durability and appearance of cedar and these weren't available at the store. The slats (or maybe I should say "staves"?) are tongue and groove, the bottom is one piece plastic with drainage holes. Very satisfied with these, just wish they were a little bigger!

light weight. i doubt its life span
looks good but i am doubting its integrity after one season. I would not buy more until i test its ability to stand up over more than a year, especially if i have to move it during the year.

They have redesigned these barrels recently and they now have an adjustable strap on the top and on the bottom, so you can tighten them up yourself if they aren't tight enough. We do hope you will try thees out again.

Good but not right size
The barrel is nice. Smells of aromatic cedar and has a strong plastic bottom. The problem is the description reads 15 inches in diameter and 15 inches in height. Diameter is correct but height is only about 10 on the inside and 12 total height. A little disappointing.

Worthless
arrived today and totally useless. do not get this. there are seams in the pot where the wood slats don't meet about 1/4 inch. the grooves in the wood side slats in this pot where the bands bind it do not even line up. if you try and straighten it out you will find it very difficult without re-engineering the pot. get something else anything else just not this.

Poor construction.
Poor construction. Boards aren't on tight. Very wobble. Will have to glue individual slats in pot to make it more sturdy.

Not what I was Hoping For!
Barrel is made of wood and plastic. I thought it would have metal bands holding the barrel together. The bottom of the barrel was also made of plastic. Maybe the plastic will last longer. I should have read the description of what materials were used to make the barrel planter. The price was good for what it was. Hoping the plastic will last longer then a wooden bottom. Its my own fault. it will work. it was also smaller then I thought I would be. I didn't read over the dimensions either. I need to read more.

Not Durable
They are nice but loose and the metal straps rust and eventually break. Now I have my huge, beautiful banana plant sittings in a barrel that is falling apart. So back to trying to transplant it to a more durable barrel.

Too expensive
This is a nice looking planter. I prefer paying less for the nearly equally durable planters I got at the Christmas Tree stores. They're not quite as tall but they are wider.
