Water does not affect this broom negatively at all. You can use it in the snow! If your shower floor is very bumpy then yes I think you can probably move some water with it, but it will leave some behind since it's not a densley packed broom.
I used this broom to sweep up pine needles on wet grass, to sweep up pine needles on rock bed, pavers and driveway. I would think you could use it on your shower floor. Watch their video if you can. I did and I was amazed it can sweep so well on so many surfaces.

Great for small rocks. I don't think it would be very efficient for anything larger, unless you worked around them
I have owned brooms like these for years and it is a must have! Yes, I use it with the B-rock that I have to sweep off leaves and sticks. Only a few rocks flip out, but with a flick of the broom you can sweep them right back in.
