Rated 4 out of 5 by from I bought this mainly because it looked cute and quick to assemble. It is cute, but it was not qui... I bought this mainly because it looked cute and quick to assemble. It is cute, but it was not quick or tool free as the box implied. Out of the box it is very rough cut, white pine and the holes were not the correct size to facilitate a smooth fit. I thought it was something that I could easily put together and maybe stain if I had the time. Husband had to step in, using a tool (sander) and his man power to assemble. Once together it was clear that this needed brown stain to look like a deer. 20 messy minutes later the deer was stained special walnut. I had the stain and the time so in the end not a big deal and the deer looks cute for the $7 we spent. One star deducted because it is not tool free to assemble and in order to look good it must be sanded, then stained or painted.

She LOVES them. it is cheap, rough cut pine so have sandpaper and wood filler ready to go. Take the time to stain or paint them... it makes a world of difference. 4 stars because of the few minutes to clean up the rough edges out of the box.

I bought one for my daughter and put together and set it under her tree. I went home, put mine together and I was missing the eyes...it is something I can do myself, but I was a bit disappointed ...too much effort to disassemble and drive back to Home Depot to return.I would purchase again..but just make sure that all the parts were included. It really is a cute deer.

I think that I would have liked it at $20.00, but I might not have bought it at such a price. My daughter and granddaughter had a great time putting it together, and now it is part of the Christmas decor that will appear every year for a long time coming.Thanks, Home Depot!

The price was right for a fun craft. My adult children also bought one and built theirs together to set out for the holiday. These could be displayed all year though. They are really cute.

I plan to have a “make a reindeer” class with cookies and cousin play time. The children’s ages are 10 year old girl, 5.5 year old boy and a 3.5 year old girl. The dads are in construction.

The pieces were a tight fit so difficult for young hands but the tight fit will hopefully hold it together. Love that it's made from real wood, will cherish this decor every year.

Left as natural wood, but could be lightky stained.
