Fall is the perfect time to plant these evergreens because it minimizes stress. It's not recommended to plant them in temperatures over 90 or those reaching in the hundreds.
These are cold hardy and prefer the temps in zone 9A and cooler areas of 10B. I'd check your zone to be sure and if so consistent watering would be very important.
We have 4 and if planted 3.5 feet apart, they do better and get sun on all sides and get about 12 feet tall.
I am not sure I have not experienced winter with them but I will be wrapping during Frost.
They are awfully small. A couple of them have not survived, am interested to see if the rest make it.
It's 90 days with Home Depot. You'll know in 2 months how the plant is doing. If you suspect the plant isn't doing well at this point, start videos to document. Consider making a store visit and select yourself. They'll deliver as well.
Hello Mari, Unfortunately, we do not have an planting tree service for this Emerald Green Arborvitae(Thuja) Live Evergreen Shrub, Green Foliage. I believe the best advice would be to visit https://www.proreferral.com for assistance with this project inquiry. We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future. Thank you for shopping Home Depot.
They come in a temporary plastic pot. You will have to replant them in the ground or a big heavy pot
If you're planting it in the ground remember that you can "adjust" for some of the leaning without tie supports. If the plant needs more, put a coned type tomato basket - -inverted-- and use the "ground prongs" to stabilize the top. I wouldn't tie anything to your young tree until after 2 years.
Yes and they are so cute on either side of your front door!!
