I obtained the Kinesio Tape for my husband, who has this to say about it: "I sometimes bicycle too much, and get pain in one knee. I tried Kinesio. I applied it to my leg in the manner recommended on the package. It remained firmly on my leg for around 36 hours, which included two showers. The package describes the purported benefits. My understanding is that it is supposed to pull upward on your skin as you move around, loosening the tissues and allowing fluids to drain. Well, I am not sure whether Kinesio deserves all of the credit, but my knee improved pretty quickly. The Kinesio would have probably continued to stick to my leg for at least another day, but it was starting to come loose at the edges, and I didn't feel that I needed it anymore, so I removed it."

I have seen this tape used by many professional athletes and thought I would try to see how it works. It is easy to apply and stays on very well and for a good length of time. I was pleased with the results as it did reduce the pain in my leg and also the slight inflammation that I had. I believe it is a good natural way to heal sore muscles and joints.

This Kinesio Tex or KT tape works! I have knee pain from patella-femoral syndrome and this tape seems to help. On days I don't wear it, the pain is worse. I like this color, beige, as opposed to the other colors which are very bright. I've seen the bright colored tape on athletes, but this beige is not as pronounced which I like. It moves the way you move. At first it seemed tight to wear but became less noticeable over time. You can even shower with it, so you don't have to replace it every single day

Good Tape for Pains
I use Kinesio tape a lot because of lingering pains from playing hockey and just plain old age. I was surprised to see that Home Depot carried it, especially since it's the brand I use. The price was very good, so I ordered it, it came quickly and is just what I wanted. I normally use the black tape, but this tape blends well with my skin. It holds very well.

Recently sprained my ankle, when I received this I thought about giving it a try. Wrapped it up (using some instructions on YouTube). It held pretty well and was not bulky so I could continue to wear my shoes. I work in healthcare and the hours are long on my feet. This helped with some light support and pain alleviation. It did have a little trouble sticking in some areas- so it didn't seem to move as well with my foot as I would have liked. I used alcohol to clean the area off the next time and it stuck much better than when I just used soap and water. I will use this again.

I am familiar with the usage and benefits of kinesio tape in athletics. I am a runner, and I have used it for minor knee pain. I first wrapped my knee using a method I had learned from a sports medicine doctor. the support was great, and I could feel it. I felt that I did everything correctly, but after a very short period of time, the edges of the tape started to peel up and come off. I haven't had this problem with other tapes. I tried taping my wife's strained calf, and had the same result. The support was there, but the tape started to peel up relatively quick. She made it through a shower prior to the edges lifting up to the point where it was annoying. I haven't had this experience with other tapes. As far as support, I feel that it was great, but with the propensity to come off too soon, I can't recommend it.

First and foremost you will more than likely need someone to apply the tape if used on a muscle on the arm or shoulder. I used on my bicep and the muscle on the back of my left shoulder. I did feel some relief because it provided some support for the injured muscles but to be truthful after using for seven days I did not feel any improvement in the level of discomfort. It will help with the support of the muscle so they are prevented from further damage.
