Product Overview

Kinesio Tape, also called Kinesio Tex Tape, is the original elastic adhesive tape developed by Dr. Kenzo Kase in 1979. The tape is ideal for added support and stability to muscles and joints without limiting or restricting the body's natural range of motion. Kinesio tape's ability to assist with common discomforts and ailments has made it a favorite therapeutic technique for injuries, overuse syndromes, recovery from surgery and even the familiar aches and soreness of everyday living.
  • Made of 100% high grade cotton for comfort and breathability and contains no latex or medications
  • Multiple day wear providing powerful, continuous results for 24 hours a day
  • Safe and easy to use as experts and beginners can apply with confidence - the first time and every time
  • Moisture dissipates quickly through the porous material of the tape, allowing it to withstand sweating, showering and even swimming without coming off or irritating the skin
  • Backing contains a light, medical-grade adhesive made of 100% hypoallergenic acrylic

Latex-free tape used for temporarily supporting joints, muscles, ligaments, and tendons. This roll is 5 cm wide x 4 m long, that is 2 inches wide by 13.1 feet long. The box and the brochure contain info on either taking online courses or to "locate a certified Kinesio taping practitioner in your area". I know this tape is used by athletes and the materials mention hospital use as well. I intend to use it on my knee during workouts, compared to using a knee brace.

I cannot explain why this works but its like wrapping an ace bandage. depending on where you have pain from inflammation you would cut this tape in a certain pattern and apply it. Also it is flexible so you can control the support. The only thing is you need to learn how to properly use it and it is difficult to use it yourself unless it is for something on the front of yourself. The price is very good.

I've used both the beige and now the black Tex tapes. I don't know why, but the black seemed to adhere for a longer time than the beige (which I thought worked great!). This tape is strong and it is flexible. I would suggest watching some You Tube videos on how to apply this tape because it does help. I used this on my elbow and it helped with support. I would recommend this product.

Great for anyone needing extra support for any part of the body. Comes with instructions for application to different areas. The tape is black and doesn't leave any residue on the skin after or pull the skin or hair out. The tape stretches and is easy to apply to skin. Overall the tape provides the extra support for sore spots or aches and pains on the body.

My first time using Kinesio Tape and I have to admit I'm skeptical. I have had some friends that used it and swear by it so I thought I would give it a try to help with some tennis elbow that has been plaguing me. Unfortunately I don't have the luxury of not suing the elbow for weeks. So I received the tape and I wasn't sure what to expect. I read the instructions for outer elbow application. I removed the backer to expose the adhesive and I think the best way I can describe the product is its like an ace bandage with adhesive. Its stretchy and I was able to apply it without much difficulty. I have only been using it for a couple of days but I have to admit it is feeling better. A little to early to know if it is going to help with a complete healing but I'm going to keep going since it is giving some relief already.

I have never used Kinesio tape before. I have seen this used by athletes and I wanted to give it a try. It is basically a brace that can be used to support muscles and improve healing. What I think is amazing is that you can apply the tape in any position that you want to get where your pain is. (No more braces that sorta fit.) I tried it on my left arm and elbow for some pain when I overdid it getting my golf game back into shape. My arm felt stronger and I felt more sure of my movements with the tape applied. I am not a young athlete anymore by any means and I have more aches and pains from overuse than ever before. I hope that this gives some additional relief going forward.

It's hard to review this only having it for one week. There was a lack of information on how and when to use this tape. I had to go on the Internet for my needed information. I've seen football and basketball players using the tape so I thought I would give it a try. Per the Internet instructions, this small roll would not suffice for me. What area of the body that i was able to use it on seamed to help. I would try it again one with a much larger rool.

Can I give a 10+ rating to this product? By far the best way to alleviate pressure in injured areas and allowing healing to take place. For example, I fell on my right knee, hard to concrete. Although I wound up not breaking anything thankfully, there was a lot of residual fluid buildup under the kneecap. Following the directions on the enclosed leaflet, I was able to lift up the area under the cap and strengthen and support my knee while it healed. Technically, here's what happens, according to the Kinesio group: By targeting different receptors within the somatosensory system, Kinesio® Tex Tape alleviates pain and facilitates lymphatic drainage by microscopically lifting the skin. This lifting affect forms convolutions in the skin thus increasing interstitial space and allowing for a decrease in inflammation of the affected areas. As with other brands, the taping depends on the area you want to strengthen or protect.

Kinesio Tex Classic tape is the greatest product ever! My husband uses it when he bowls on his right arm and or shoulder for sore muscles or to prevent strain or support muscles in movement. I use it when I have pulled a muscle working in the garden. Also uses it in his bowling ball to take up space. Inside the box is an instruction guide of how to apply the tape on different parts of your body. This tape is latex free, water resistant, can be worn for days.

This tape worked well for my son's sprained ankle in football. Taped it according to videos on the web and within a week his ankle was almost 100%, and in two weeks there was no residual pain. I have trouble with a knee swelling after running. Taped my knee according to web videos and it helped with the pain and the recovery time. It is not a heavy duty support tape but it is very versatile in the way you can stretch it tighter for some parts of the tape job and leave it not stretched for other parts. I am not sure about the claims of more rapid healing due to it holding the skin off the muscles for increased blood flow but it did help my knee pain and it did help my son's ankle recovery time. I would definitely look on the web at the videos of trainers to see the proper application technique as you need to stretch the tape at some points as well as flex or straighten the joint being taped. We have added this to our kit of sports equipment and bought it for our football team as well.
